The most useful string instruments are all recent additions. Sorrowful Harp(+3 Threnody), Nursemaid's Harp (+2 Lullaby) and Military Harp(+2 Finale) were all added within the last 6 months or so.

Anyone know the time diff between +1 and +2 lullaby? Is it worth it to grind thru 60 levels of string instrument for this?Comment

Nursemaid's Harp offers +20 additional seconds to the base time for lullaby (vs. +10 for Mary's Horn). I haven't tested to be sure, but it seems that the Nursemaid's Harp also offers a slightly expanded area of effect for Horde Lullaby, but that might be my imagination. In any case, it's well worth the effort to skill it up.

String just has a larger AoE than wind, which in turn covers more ground than singing. But who would be caught singing anyway?4 out of 3 people have a problem with fractions. . .Comment

I've always found singing and wind's aoe size to be almost the same. String is pretty easy to keep skilled as you lvl. I just used it for finales and if it started getting behind 5+ points I would spam some threnodies while exping for 10-15 mins quickly capping it (between buffs of course).Comment
