Lost again.

Is it cuz my dagger skill sucks? and i cant hit as much and not that much? yes i use dagger and "cyclone" is all i can use .

Here is the thing. My HP never falls below yellow. When i have Maat down to 1/4 or near yellow on his HP.. he goes mad!!!! like he is on drug. All he does is spaming "Asuran Fist" nonstop!!! fist after fist after fist.. 3 consecutive fist and i die...

He goes crazy cuz my time is running out?

Lost 3x now due to this lame move by him. My hp always in white..until he goes spamming asuranfist..then i die..with 3-4 consecutive fist..

Five levels from fighting him myself, so take this with a grain of salt as "hearsay advice", but ...

From what I hear, he gets meaner the longer the battle lasts, so try to kill him faster. Also, although much of your damage is actually gonna be coming from SV Requiem VI (preferably +2), it helps a lot to be able to contribute melee damage to that as well.

If you don't mind my asking, what is your skill level in dagger? I know it's at least 125 for Cyclone, but if that's all the higher it is, I can see why you're having problems. Somewhere closer to 200 would be preferable.

Your equipment looks perfectly reasonable, but I'd agree on the skillups. They're tedious and annoying but it'll vastly improve your chance of landing hits on him and slightly improve your damage per hit.

Beyond that, it's all strategy. With a little luck as far as his WS use goes.

i forgot to mention.. i only use hi potion... grr i should have use vile elixir and vile elixir +1 when he goes mad...

and run around the arena hopefully avoiding hits..


if i lost again... gonna stop level brd... my brd is 1xp from 71 lol.. beat maat im 71 basically...

if i lose hell..gonna level up my drk to kick his arse.. drk at 61 only grrr

I've read that if you reach the 5 minute mark into the fight he is more likely to go apeshit on you. Also which songs are you playing as your buffs?

I went SV paon 3 + 4 with ebony harp +1
ate steam crab and persido aul lut

then foe requiem and elegy him with hamlin and horn +1

clyclone him.. ate icarus cyclone again..etc..

tonite towards the end when he goes apeshit.. im gonna run aroud adn hopefully avoid those asuran fist onslaught


i guess it all comes down to my dagger skill i guesss... GRRR

Ohi good luck man, i think the running when he goes nuts may help a lot though. Let's just hope he gives up eh?

I would never use a dagger or any weapon that is not atleast 190 in skill minimum against Maat. 145 skill is just too low I think. I mean thats the skill a level 50 Bard has.. rofl wtf? Imo, Sword is a hundred times better than dagger for Bard. The DoT is something like 50% higher and you get Spirit Within which is a nice WS. I know some Bard who beat Maat using Dagger. I find that pretty hardcore honestly. Cermet Sword +1 or Wing Sword is your best option. Using a Dagger is horrible because you give him more TP since the attacks are faster. During my fight vs. Maat, he only used one single WS.

I beat him with Dagger

I haven't really been up-to-date with my Sword Skill. I have 240 Dagger and learned Evisceration, and I just recently got 230 Staff, and obtained my Pole of Trials for Retribution.

When I fought Maat I had capped Dagger skill as well. I dunno, he also only did 1 WS on me too.

Sword, dagger, what's the difference? You can beat him with any weapon that a Bard has good skill with.

I, personally, beat him with a staff.

Dont expect to beat him if you didnt take the time to even cap your dagger skill. Even with a capped sword skill, i still missed a few times.

swd skill is at 150 now.. by end of this week will cap it.. being do alot of skilling up..

also added Peacock charm to equipment list..that with life belt should make me hit modre too

i'm a sword wielding BRD, and i'm not seeing exactly sure how that works.

Spirits damage is dependent on HP and TP.

do you build 300 TP to start the match and do Spirits (Sleep Potions, Icarus Wing)?

or do you let TP build up throughout the battle and when you have 300, use potions to max your HP right before you do Spirits for max damage?

if you're able to do a 300 TP Spirits, did you use any other WS during the match or was the majority of the damage SV+Requiem, normal sword strikes followed by Spirits?
