    wow that's a lot of info very fast ...

    i guess what i meant was, how easy is it for other classes to get +80 in their main stat, difficulty- and money-wise?

    your post also begs the quest, what is the REAL end-game equipment for bard? i've been wondering for a bit now what i will do when i hit 75 and stop XP'ing. as far as i can tell i will need 2 sets of equip:

    1 set for farming, killing placeholders (melee)

    1 set for HNM fights (defense/HP/MP?)

    im not really sure what balance of CHR to have. for most HNM's CHR is totally irrelevant - i just need to keep ballad up on the mages and whatever buffs on the tank/melee. but for some (like adamantoise) part of my job will be to sleep adds so i might need SOME +CHR, and i don't know how much i'll need to land debuffs on the HNM ... i don't know what to get. i've seen the best bard on the server that i know of (JP named Beru) in full mahatma gear with joyeuse + shield against king behemoth so that seems ok, but he's human and the -18 VIT isn't as bad as it is for me (taru).

      Depends on how you define "main stat". For example, for a WHM, do you mean the not-particularly-helpful MND, or do you mean MP? If you give me a list of jobs and a single stat to prioritize, I could whip up a few lists. Generally I think that aside from stats on AF, other jobs have a lot harder time scraping up stats than we have scraping up CHR.

      I too don't know exactly what I wanna do for endgame equipment (though you're a lot closer to that than I am). Much though I'd like to have some default multipurpose set of armor I'm getting the feeling that won't work. There's melee equipment, CHR equipment, music skill equipment, and MP equipment, and generally these are mutually exclusive (though you can tuck the music skill equipment into most of the other groups). Throw in a dozen instruments and that's a LOT of stuff to carry around.

      For fun, I think I'm gonna do MP for WHM right now, just because I know it's gonna be an enormous total and it'll have lots of amusing -HP ...

      Ammo: Phantom Tathlum (+10)

                Hmm, must be the Allure Rings, but they are mighty expensive on our server and rarely in stock. We're talking millions! Its just I saw a lvl 61 Taru Bard with +50 in his comment, and I was struggling to find out how.

                Imho, thats overkill, the most I have at 67 is +45 when I switch to my Signa, and I get few resists nowadays. The days of getting resists in the high end 50s seem to be over for now, thankfully. Now I have my Light Staff, my Cure's are helping a lot more, so I'm thinking of getting a hairpin, since my backup heals/status cures have been pretty crucial as of late (especially fighting Skellies in Gustav - Blindna is a must).
