Are you wearing your AF body? Or Justacorpse? I just got Justacorpse (no +1)....But then again, I dont have the body AF. What rings etc are you (and everyone else wearing)? MP aimed or Chr aimed? My earrings are severely outdated. (+2 mp lol)

As for rings, Im really debating on picking up Astrals, or trying to hold out for a Serket. I have Electrums at the moment, and just not sure that +10 more mana (both Astrals) is worth the steep steep price.

Monster Sig? Maybe for my BST. I still need to pick up a Marys Horn...sigh. Price has gone up from 75k to 110k+ in the last week though...Think Ill wait for it to drop.

Yeah I know a lot of people in that LS and yeah they seem cool. Some of them freestyle between the two LS's.

I am wearing full AF, 2 pearl rings, shellbuster (only for debuffing), jesters cape, corsette, +4mp earings.

I have a macro where I equip sandorian horn and shellbuster when I debuff so I have +30 CHR for debuffing. I bought moon rings for 50k, they rose to 75k so I sold both of them

A nice guy in Jueno sold me marys horn for 50k last week, he needed cash now so we worked it out and he sold it to me for 50k.

I made some nice cash getting goldsmith to 20 so I might buy jester's cape +1 = 10 CHR, monster signa pwned

Gnat mostly hangs in my LS, he is so cool has a weird sense of humor but is totally cool.

CHR doesn't do anything for debuff resisting. CHR only effects the debuff for how long it lasts. The only thing that lessons the chances of resists are instrument + equipment. This is basic Bard stuff CMON GUYS. Is the signa worth it? Yes of course it is. Is a light staff worth it Yes. The dark staff? no. Use your brains and your own common sense. You shoudln't have to have people think for you. If you have a problem why dont u try spending 5 minutes THINKING about it before you come running to some ohter player for answers that may be wrong anyways.

Why don't we spend five minutes thinking about how to spell "lessens", "shouldn't", and "other"? I find both this thread to be informative and interesting because people have been offering evidence and experience in favor of their points of view; instead, you hope to convince people you're right by accusing them of being stupid for asking? My favorite part of your post is your brilliant deduction that other people are giving "answers that may be wrong anyways". So, what you're say is if a post lacks any evidence whatsoever and is comprised of baseless, misspelled conclusions, it's probably wrong?

That really kind of goes against the point of forums such as these. To some it makes for interesting discussion.

And yes if I was to replace my signa, it would either be with a Joyuese or Lightstaff I think.

Well thanks all for the replies. I've decided to stay with my Signa and just buy the Jester's Cape+1 for now. The reason being, I will be buying the Wind Torque in 4 lvls, and need the cash for that hehe.

I'm sorry but people have been posting here about the SAME BS OVER AND OVER GAH. And i hope to god by Lv 60 he knows what stuff to buy and have a generally knowledge of the game. I honestly think people post here only to show off thier avatars and thier levels to the left of their post.

I think the harder question here might be whether + wind/string might be better than CHR in some situations. They definitely improve incrementally things like minuet, madrigal and paeon, but is very hard to test for other things like debuffs.

I've 68+70 CHR w/o any etudes and yet I still fail Finale (and strangely, ONLY Finale) on those crazy RDM Infernal Weapons sometimes and can't sleep Darksteel Golems at all (light element, so naturally high resist).

As for HNMs, only a select few can be slept at all, and others such as king versions require impossibly high CHR to land debuffs consistently. To have so much CHR only to land an elegy 1 in 20 times isn't worth the effort, so you might actually want some DEF or MP gear in those situations. I got drawn in more than the BLMs on Aspidochelone even though all I did was Ballad and heal the non-tanks.

Yes at 60 I completely agree with you that I hope you have some working knowledge of the game and know what to buy at that kind of level but you do not know it all, and what if there is some item out there that you did not know about and would nicely enhance you character? I have seen a few names of things that I had no clue what they were, like kard, hell of a nice dagger had no clue about it. I do not have the time to be an FFXI expert on all matters so I, as many others do, depend on these boards for information, hell that is what they are for.

And your last comment, damn right I am proud of where I have gotten in the game. This game really tests your patience but through it all I have consistenly played and I have accomplished a lot, and so what if I want to brag a little I see nothing wrong. Perfect example is Faranims video, awesome accomplishment and he wanted everyone to know about it.

Finally, we live in a free country if you are sick of the same posts then don't read them, or if you are sick of this board there are tons of other FFXI boards out there.

This game isn't about testing patience. It isn't about personal glory, because you would have none without other people to help you. You should just have a good time with the people you exp, hunt with. You really think your still going to have fun if all you care about is how good of stuff your character has? You will be sick of this game faster than anything. When your at a higher level where you have to spend HOURS with people you may not even met before its really all about chit chatting and basically having fun. Its already expecting that everyone around you knows what they are doing and they should and they should also have a good amount of gil along with that. I get the feeling all you people are trying to do is live up to some false destiny you think you have of getting to Lv 75 and fighting big monsters. I come on this forum to help lower levels with questions they may have but when it gets the point where I see Lv 60 bards that are basically robots that just follow around people that tell them how to do everything they are already supposed to know how to do it sickens me. You are always told what the best songs and equipment are, and instead of figuring out WHY they are the best, you come here and need to be constantly re-assured by people a few levels above you of what they are.

I always put wind skill+ above all. It seems to have the most impact on debuffs. After a certain time your CHR is so high that even +4 CHR items hardly even have an effect. MP+ items don't seem to have much effect either because the MP goes up so fast anyways from ballads and maybe a refresh if your rdm is bored.

i wish there was some real documentation to go on rather than just hoping and guessing that, for example, +3 wind on AF pants is better than +7 CHR on errant pants.

Since when did RDMs get to be bored at all? I wanna know...I didn't get the memo...
