Rare song price fluctuation

I see quite a few posts here telling of tales how the price of a song went up 10x from what they saw it at before. I am just starting bard, and I am wondering songs I should start looking at the prices of now to avoid that.

Everything above level 50 is subject to price variation, because only a few of them are buyable (and by that time, they're also available as enemy drops for generally a fraction of the NPC price). I haven't gotten that high so I haven't paid much attention to their prices, but I seem to recall hearing a lot about Ballad II, Minuet IV, and Carnage Elegy.

Yeah, I thought I was gonna have to fork over some dough for Blade Madrigal, but it was only 1K at Jueno... No idea if that is the normal price, or if there was a HUGE drop over the past few days.

Mages Ballad 2 was running 80k last week on Fairy. This week, it dipped to 45k so I raked it up ASAP. Kinda crazy how it fluctuated almost 40k.

All the songs on my server have dropped in price of about 50% on average. Just wait till you get to that level, since everything will be dirt cheap by then.

On Ragnarok Ballad II has been slowly dropping, and appears to have settled at 30k, so I'll buy it next time there is one in stock.

On Quetzalcoatl the only songs above 10K are Ballad II, Chocobo Mazurka, Carnage Elegy, and one of the high level Etudes.

Prices will always go up and down. As a high level bard there is a few song you will need. The rest don't really matter~

51 Blade Madrigal - I found this one while doing rank 5 no idea on price
55 Ballad II - I bought its for 10k but it currectlys sells for like 30k on my server (Last time I checked)
59 Carnage Elegy - This is a rare drop from yagudo noone usually kills. I bought this for 60k >.<;
63 Minuet IV - I bought this for 40k but the longest time it was 200k on my server. It dropped down recently I bought it as soon as it dropped low enough for me to afford.

Keep Requiem updated also. All the other songs - don't really matter at all. I've found most of my 70+ Songs, hunting castle oz coffer key.. and the rest hunting Novv the Whitehearted. >.<;

If you want to buy songs "ahead" of time buy those four.

how about this...I was planning on doing BCNM40 and started mining to save for mary's horn. I spend a few days mining, almost getting the 80k I need to buy it, and one guy decides to sell the horn for 150k. It sold at 150k over 3 months ago, and ever since then it has been that high. Needless to say I never bought the damn horn

I bought Valor Minuet IV for only 5K. Why is it so expensive on your server I wonder? I mean, it is a useful song, but it's nothing overly special as to warrant a 200K, or even 40K price tag.

When I was within range of Elegy it was 90k....I happened to luck out and get the drop while coffer key hunting.

Minuet IV, when I was within level range...I had to pay 70k for it.

A week or so ago, it was only 5k. :mad:

Ballad II cost me..25k or something I think.

Blade Madrigal was 5-6k I think too. I don't remember though, that was a long time ago.
