Scroll down to level 75 wind instruments. I'm drooling already. Assuming, of course, this is actually in the game (but why create data for it if it hadn't been added). Probably a drop from one of the new Dynamis areas, is my guess.

Mystery Tour lists things that are in the database, but not in game yet. Not sure if this is the case with this horn, however. Will drag my LS to Dynamis and find out myself :D

If its the same as the "Ultimate Weapons" I believe it is in the game, I saw a few screens of people using it floating around (these new weapons).

Will it be gimpy in Van a'Diel though? Those ultimate weapons are only good in Dynamis usually.

It seems for all of these "super weapons" (which includes this instrument apparently), there are a pair of them. One has some nice special boosts (and a special WS for the actual weapons) but only in Dynamis. The other has even more special boosts, still the special WS, and doesn't limit itself to Dynamis. For the instruments, Gjallarhorn is the second one; the first one is Millennium Horn which "only" offers CHR+3 and all songs +2 (in Dynamis only).

My guess is that the first one is dropped by Dynamis enemies, and the second is an upgrade from that item - presumably through itinerant goblins or some other similar means (maybe having to do with the Strange Apparatus?), possibly through normal crafting like the transformation of Royal Spearman's Horn into San d'Orian/Kingdom Horn.

Well if it is true that it works in the real world, I bet flashing that to a high level, high experienced HNM LS would get you in right awawy ^^ That is easily the single most useful thing for a bard...the bard could sub dragoon for all you care and everyone would love you still

Actually, having looked at the item patterns a bit more, I'm wondering whether the "first item" as I called it, is more appropriately the "fourth item" ... the upgrade from the "Dynamis ____". If that's so, then you'd start with a Relic Horn and then settle down to the task of upgrading it.

If that's the case, I can see why the stats on all of these are so godly now - they're a bloody pain to get.

The final upgrade to the dagger (which we can also use) is Mandau - has damage equivalent to the best non-Dynamis *swords*, and 170-odd delay, with Attack +20 and of course, a WS of its own.

Oh yea, take a look at Shadow Ring. XD Damn...seems like some enemies have Death now, I think Dynamis(maybe Xarcabard/Beaucedine?).

My guess is that it requires the Dynamis Horn, along with several upgrades via the Goblins, and quite possible the use of the Strange Apparatus.

Regardless, with a level 75 Req to use and it being nearly impossible to obtain, it doesn't really have much use other than for the show-off factor. I suppose for Dynamis it'll be good (7 MP / tick ballad) and in the un-capped Ballista matches.... but that's about it.

It will be amazing for farming, HNM and god hunting too...but yeah, I always am a tad dissapointed that when these amazing EQ's are levle 75...kinda feels like you waisted being able to use it...but then again, the max level will eventually rise (come on, there is no way square would make the max level 75 when there are already tons of people at 75)

Either way, I'm going to look into obtaining this item, just because I really want to strive to be the best (genbu's sheild mahatma set etc )

That's the WS with Mandau dagger. =X All the other special dynamis weapons have awesome WS's too.

Personally I think having this w/o any downside unbalances gameplay. And making it near-impossible to get just further stratifies the player base. Strategy and tight team work, not godly equipment, should be the deciding factor in HNM competitions.

That's more of a question of game design philosophy, I guess. Do you entice people by dangling carrots in front of their noses-- carrots that though ever more tasty are still nevertheless still carrots--or by giving them a variety of fruits and vegetables to choose from?
