Ragnarok Bard?????

I am a citizen of Ragnarok and I want to be a Bard. I have not set up the ability to post on the server forums yet mainly because I only come to these boards at work (shhh don’t tell my boss…. lol) and I always forget to bring my POL ID.

My main question is why is there only 100 bards out of 4,200 people on Ragnarok? Will I have problems getting parties in the beginning because all the new people on the server have never had the pleasure of grouping with a bard to see what they can do?

Anyways, when I first started the game I wanted to be a damage dealer so I started a Galka to become a drk/war and a tarutaru to become a blm/whm. Now that I am a lvl 25 blm I miss the support role of the whm (hated being a healer in everquest go figure). Between my 2 chars I have grouped with a bard about 3 or 4 times. I have read 1/3 of the post in the Bard forum and I really think that I will enjoy the class a lot.

I think that if I want to generate the best damage in the game this is the route to go. I will be able to generate more damage through my songs then a blm or drk would be able to do on there own cuz I will be making everyone in the party better. Is this line of taught correct?

the reason u don't see alot of bards is because we're hiding. /anon works wonders for when u want to be left alone to craft, quest, farm etc etc

Naw, a DRK on his own will generate more damage than the additional damage the bard songs gives to the melee attackers, hope you understand what I mean x_x
Bard songs make the melee fighters about 25% stronger maybe.. not exactly sure though. But you also get Ballad which is like Refresh and you have some small healing power to help with the support. Overall, its a good job and the probably the one that can improve a group the most.

Madrigal also adds enough accuracy to keep the damage dealing constant, it´s a great song.

Bards are in high demand, if you want to have to not worry much about party's, bard is your job...A RDM in my LS got stuck on maat for a while and decided to go bard, and was surprised when she got from 1-45 or so in less than a week...she said she had constant parties the whole time. Especially with the influx of non-advanced job members. They will jump at the opportunity to party with someone advanced.

and 15%~ accuracy
with ballad1+2 and dispel and all othres spell bard is the best job in the game

I for one almost always anon because I'm trying to not to pt beyond my ls. You can almost not a get a moment of peace if you leave your info revealed.

Bard is a totally supportive job. If you like seeing large numbers (I'm guilty of this XD) this won't be the job for you. BUT a bard in the party makes it more than 50% efficient, not burst damage but more on a consistant basis. You WILL be plagued with invites and requests to join Set parties especially at higher levels, heck sometimes people send me /tell when I'm doing a mission, or anon or something to ask if i'd like to party later on.

In conclusion, everyone should be a bard and drop melee so I can get more invites as a thief or make better parties

Everyone one knows what a Bard is capable of, will go out of their way to get one into a party. I have count of how many times someone has said

"This is the first time I have partied with a Bard before, now I see why people like them so much."

Now maybe it's just me, but it seems that parties with bards get things done one hell of a lot faster, than parties without bards
