Just solo'd my BRD AF2 tonight ^^ I went as level 63 brd/whm
with carapce helmet and breastplate, tiger pants for added defense. Regular brd stuff for the others. Made my way to
the sarcophagus with sneak, spawned the nms and cure
pulled Old Guardian. The Hell Hound by the stairway didnt
agro at my level so that was fortunate. Slept the guardian and did debuffs (carnage, paralyze, slow) then Paeon IV and III on me plus Regen on top for 15 hp Regen total. Drank some
Pineapple juice and began hitting the bones with Cermet Sword. After 40 minutes of sleeping, healing, debuffing I finally killed him. Sneaked myself and went to get cutscene and ring. I was so happy ^^ Planning to solo my Nest coffer with Brd/Bst config, I'm too shy to ask for help :sweat:

that's an awesome story. congrats.

as for whether or not to keep the AF, most people i know wear it just for the looks of having the AF and when they quest, farm, etc where it really doesn't matter they will use the AF.

but when it comes to XP PTs they have a macro to switch out all the pieces that are not important.

Now I feel a little better about those 5 minute fights against Goblin Smithies and Zircon Quadavs in Rolanberry whilest waiting for PTs...

As far as wearing the AF goes, I certainly would never wear the hat. Either wear an MP+30 hairpin, or the CHR+3 Noble Ribbon, whichever suits your playstyle the best.

As for the rest of it- The boots aren't particularly any good, but don't really need replacing until Errant at lvl 72. The gloves I will always wear, the pants too, the top I will keep because of the string skill but will also get an Errant top at 72 and something like the lvl 73 VIT, ACC, EVA+ top for soloing and for the hell of it.

went for my af2 today with a pt configuration of 60 drk 58 war 50 brd 50 whm 50 rdm.. killed Yum quite quickly but since we have no proper tank.. the drk took alot of dmg.. the rdm had to convert in battle to continue spamming cure iv. the 2 other mob despawned but i did not get the cutscene when i click the sarcophagus..

i brought 2 holy water so we decided to try again.. waited for everybody's hp/mp to be full and cleared the blood souls that respawned in the room. i decided to click the sarcophagus again just to make sure there is no cutscene... and guess what happened -_-.. the 3 NM spawn again (i didn't even trade the holy water yet).. didn't have sneak on so 2 of the smaller NM started chasing me.. i died but my pt managed to kill them.. Yum despawned and i got raised, went back to the sarcophagus and got the cutscene.. weird..

I am trying to level goldsmithing so if there is no pressing need to buy new gear guess I will dump my cash into goldsmithing,

For anyone who is getting the gloves it sucked more than the 18 person alliance we had to get to get our body piece. Arhiman who drops castle z.b. key is roughly a 15 minute spawn, and we had to kill like 8 of them to get one (as you can tell I have no patience ^^). Once I got the key it was kinda late so I had to log.

I did not want to burden another group to come and help me find coffer so I soloed it. I saw the coffer my 2nd time, the 1st time I was there alone I had to warp due to aggro, but I could not get to it, that place is confusing. After walking around during my 2nd attempt I got aggroed and died that time. I finally figured out that the lowest ledge leads to the 4 spawn spots and the highest ledge leads to the 4 square rooms where it can also spawn, so my third time I figured it out and got the coffer. By the way the coffer is always there no one was there when I did it.

Then the easy part was killing dark spark, what a wuss.

But alas I have all pieces and I am set for quite sometime, 75 here I come ^^
