I got the Castle Oztroja coffer key on Tuesday night pretty late so I did not go looking for the coffer. I tried last night but I could not download the updated got some POL-Error XXXX everytime (I finally for it this morning, the update that is). Anyhow I was wondering how to do I get to the area where the coffers spawn without dieing? I had help to get the key but now I have to solo finding the coffer. I know in the Castle there are 1 or 2 areas where you have to open a door, if I drop invis on the 2nd door I think I will get aggroed and even an easy prey will drop me, plus they link. I am level 56 and I am not sure how I will be able to get the coffer, any advice would be appreciated.

Anyone else not really like the bard AF? I mena...I have the hands and the feet right now, gonna have the hat tommorow...and the feet are junk...the hands are so-so...it is pretty dissapointing, when some AF like PLD is really good stat-wise :/

I thought the pants and hands were really good pieces. I replaced my head piece with noble ribbon and body piece with jaustacorps (sp?). Didn't have any trouble with my AF pieces other than AF2, which we attempted with 2 parties at level 50 and got wasted . Next time we did it had sneak and didn't get aggro so that worked out pretty well, since we had 2 parties of 55+ now. AF3 was done with a mad AF alliance. Noteworthy things was he got full health by draining our 18 man alliance >.> and the dragoon died from something. Coffers were all cake. Zvahl is imo an easy coffer coz not many people camp them on my server, dispite having mage's Ballad 2 in them. Oztroja would have been sucky, but I knew the 2 thieves in there at the time so they helped me out .

Outaru => Zvahl has no doors don't worry. Just drop down at the correct places and you'll be alright. A map would really help.

You will likely get aggroed at the second door with the 4 switches... *psst* don't tell anyone, but what I did (was lvl 52 when I got the coffer) was went up there, lullabied the 2 yags at the door, and trained all the way to the entrance (this wasn't my original intent, I swear ) then ran back in, hauled ass up and beat them to the door with the 4 switches, opened and went in. After that, you don't have to worry about any more doors (unless it pops behind the HP door place) and you can scout the coffer with only invis. The leeches might be sneak, Im not sure, but you can avoid them alltogether unless the coffer spawns in the pool, which is where I got mine. Stoneskin/Blink up, and bring a dezone scroll if you dont want to die.

Also, I'd like to add that I did my AF3 with WAR/NIN 75, RNG/NIN 75, WHM/BLM 70 and it was a piece of cake.

I feel like such a noob I died 2 times while looking for this coffer for no reason. I did not know when it starts to flash red "invis is about to wear off" you can simply recast it. I thought it was like sneak where you have to wait for it to wear off or cancel it in order to recast it. I died twice looking for safe zones to recast invis. Well now I know so hopefully I get it today after work.

That coffer is so annoying before my deaths I spent about 2 hours looking for it, but at the same time there was a RDM, BST and about 2-3 THF's looking for it. One of the RDM's that helped us get the keys has been loooking for like 6 hours for it with no luck.

I got a printout of where the coffers are **suposed** to spawn so I know I am looking in the right areas.

Camp the coffer in the password-room. Just sit in there till it pops. I waited 8 hours but it was well worth it. Beats running around all day with no find.

Also, put something like:

[Artifact] [Armor] [Legs]
[Please forgive me]

in your search. I had a few thiefs come into the room and /nod to me and leave, assuming they read my message. Good luck, the pants rock.

I got them within 15 mins of being in the castle. Funny thing is there were 15 anon's in there I assume some of them were THF's so I guess I just lucked out. And yeah the pants are nice.

a lot of anons in Castle Oztroja are camping an NM for Ochido's Kote, so they're not all THFs.

i got the CN Coffer yesterday (at 53), than leveled to 54 after. put the hat on to see how stupid i looked and promptly reequipped the Noble's Ribbon.

i'd also like to know what level is the minimum to do AF2. i have an LS PT that will help each other out for AFs, at 53-54 right now.

i don't want to take them out there to die. i spoke to two people who have done it on my server, one of them brought 3 Lv 70+ and said it was easy (duh), one of them had a full PT with two or three 60+ and said it was still pretty hard.

if i only want to do it with my LS PT, what level should we go at?

I did this a little while ago, and I think a party of 52-53s would have a really hard time.

I ended up going with a 12 person alliance. Basically 1 party of lvl52-53 people, and 1 party of lvl 60 or so. Lvl60s included a pld, thf, drg, whm, and a rdm. 50s were 3 bards, 2 thfs, and 2 sams....last part of our AF2 tour.

We pulled the middle one first, and it was actually pretty easy. Took a little while to kill, but nobodies HP got that low. We decided to pull one more, just because they both hadn't despawned yet.

Well once this next one hit 50% HP, it started using blood sabre like an animal. My party of 52-53 had their HP drop to 100-200. The rdm was in my pty, and their MP was completely gone before the fight was over. If anything I think we had too many people, because blood sabre gave too much HP back to the NM. I ended using my 2 hour + paeon III and IV.

I think with a quality party of around lvl60 or so, this is pretty easy. The more people you have that are 52-53, I think end up making it a tougher fight. I'd recommend a 60+ tank, and at least 2 healers.

If you can manage to grab 1 70+ person, monk or any heavy melee, I imagine they would annihilate this thing.

Just did my AF2 last night.

PT consisted of 60PLD, 54DRK, 54BLM, 54 RDM, 52BRD(me) and 50RDM(who need G1 papyrus in same area). Did follow above instructions and it wasn't really hard fight even I got 2 bones on pull and need to keep one lullabied along the fight

Note that we didn't kill Yum as he depopped after 2nd bone died. BTW I still got the cutscreen.

I am torn between wearing my AF armor and "regular" armor. In fact it is to the point where I have bought and sold a nobles ribbon and justcorps (spelling) twice now. I buy them with the intent on using them but then I am like I just went through all this crap to get AF armor just to put it in my mog house. So I sold them back to the AH at a loss of course with all the undercutting going on. Last night I patied with a couple of lv 61's and when I checked them they kept the "best" pieces of their AF and replaced the other pieces with what they clamined were better than the AF pieces they replaced. But then I look around and see level 70's still wearing their AF?!? Nobles ribbon and Justacorps would give an extra +5 to CHR, or you can wear a gold hairpin for extra mp.

Opinions please.

I always wear the slippers, legs and gloves out of my af, generally I'm wearing a blue ribbon and aketon inplace of my hat and tunic, Justacorps is just too ugly for my liking =(

I do still carry my nobles ribbon for when I need that little extra cha though, as well as my af hat and a carapace tunic for when I'm getting hit about.
