Should i get the songs like herb pastrol or scops operette someone told me they arent too useful since a whm can just use a -na spell so any input would be thankful

Buy them only if you have the extra gil and just want to have all the Bard songs. I have never had a request to use them.

Ive only used songs like that if it became a problem.. Or in skill up parties or something.. Or trying to get an item and the mobs arent really a threat.. I like to have all the scrolls so when i was lvl 20 i baught every scroll 1-40. *waves to his gil*

Definately not required, I just bought them all (Except for Puppet's Operetta, getting that whenever I encounter the circus again) just because they look pretty.

Not only is there not a request, if I was the melee in a pt that had a brd that casted pastoral during battle, I would yell at them.
