What are the Lvl 70+ songs like?

I'm curious about Chocobo, Goddess and Maiden's Virelai.

Running the speed of a chocobo sounds really cool, and party Re-raise sounds like an awesome song to use when in trouble.

Plus a Bard being able to Charm a mob?

Anyone used any of these songs, are they as good as they initially sound?

Only songs I use are archer's prelude and mazurka.

1) Archer's Prelude- Hunter's prelude upgrade, ranged accuracy up. This is a no brainer.

2) Stat up songs...whoopdyo same thing as the low level ones except they're single target.

3) Hymnus - group reraise. Why? You're probably going to be getting a raise 2 or 3 if you die anyways. Using hymnus to me seems like a way of saying I give up and can't handle this situation.

4) Virelai. Charms for an entire 30 seconds, yay? +1 instrument makes it 37 seconds. Not to mention it has the same restrictions as bst charm.

5) Mazurka. 1 Min recharge, 2 min duration. It's about half the speed increase of a chocobo and only works outdoors. It's great if you don't have a chocobo but its annoying having to keep your PT members in line if everyone wants it. Once it runs out everyone has to stop and gather around you.

I think that chocobo song is great. Big time saver if you have to move a large distance. Sounds like you are tired of being a BRD, maybe you should level BST some more

Wouldn't that be useful in Dynamis? There's a limit to how long you can stay in there, so better to try and get Re-Raise I on everyone if a battle turns sour than to wait for higher level Raises.

Well here's the question I had about that song... does count towards the two song limit? From the way the songs description is phrased (grants the effects of reraise) it almost makes it sound as if it puts the reraise spell (as opposed to song) on the player. And if it only has a short limited duration, I can't imagine many situations where this actually becomes useful.

/dreams of a +1 instrument that bumps the effect to Reraise 2.

never really been to dynamis since i quit, but since i came across that post, hearing about how everyone dies in like 1 hit, or 2-3 hits, getting raise would just be a re-suicidal thing...cus when u raise, there will be that raise effect and also aggro would kill u almost instantly huh?

By the time you're high enough to go to Dynamis you will be losing like 3.6-4k+ exp. You will want that raise III.

The 30 sec charm timer might be because you are charming an IT or somthing maybe? Bst charm an IT can work and it only lasts 30 sec too.

Would charming an even match work fairly well? Though I guess you don't need exp at 75 anymore cept as buffer for deaths...

Anyone out there tested this yet?

I just got to 75, and was excited to try out my new charm song. I went out to Saura and charmed a Raptor. Coolio I thought, untill I saw that I had NO Pet Commands. Basically making this a temporary wyvern pet :mad:

On top of that, my charm only lasted 35 seconds, then it turned on me. Fustrated, I went back to Jeuno, and bought the level 75 +1 Virelai Harp. Ok now my charms will last twice as long, just like the +1 Lullaby horn right? WRONG, It gave me a.............................

does it even attack when you fight something like summoned avatars will auto attack anything in red?

I'd assume that a raptor was too weak to you by far so guess thats just the song limitations. Guess if you had full charm powers, it'd make the bst job obslitete.

Recast time is at 60 seconds, and it follows you around assisting you with anything that your attacking, or attacking you. Then when charm wears off, you still have 25-30 seconds on the recast timer :sweat:

That sounds so lame. Once the charm wears off, can you kill the thing for xp or does it work the same as the Beastmaster charm?
