  • Subjob required to be uptodate?

I am currently a lvl 25 brd / lvl 10 whm and I just cannot stand leveling my white mage. It is just plain boring sitting there, healing, protectra, heal, ....

I don't know if i'm really up to leveling it any further than 11. Just get cure II and stop.

Do I really need my white mage subjob up to date?

... maybe i could bribe my brother into sitting in front of the monitor all day doing the most boring job in Vanadiel...

Stick with it, it will become fun soon.

I initially got my whm to 11 and stopped to get my bard up some, then back to my whm, i solo'd to level 13 becuase of lack of parties (yes you read right) but as soon as i got to 13, went to la theine and everyone wanted me.

im level 17 now whm wise and my bard is halfway to 36, i'll get to 40 before voluntarily going back to level my whm, if parties are lacking then i'll level my whm anyway.

just keep at it, it will pay off

Dont forget how much you are screwing yourself out of higher stats, health and MP. It just shows pure laziness when someone has a subjob many levels lower than half of thier main.

If you havent played BST past 35, you havent played BST.

Whenever I invite people in my PT, I alway check if they have level'ed up sub. Its true that a few level don't matter too much but its still a plus. If everyone in your PT had underlevel'ed sub, how would it be? Probably not very successfull heh? Try to be at your best when its possible, the result will always be better. Level your sub, you will be a better player.

Plus you get handy skills like Divine seal and Curaga at the early 30s. I personally like the idea of being able to do things like cast invis on myself for mobility whenever I get to level 50.

Ok I have been leveling my white mage (currently lvl 12) and it's become a much better job very quickly. I am now getting a decent number of invites and the battles have become a little funner. The only thing I don't like about white mage is that I feel really really bad when someone dies. I lost a paladin because I was zoning out. I think I'd rather be the one that dies than have to feel all the guilt.

Generally... You'd at least want these levels when BRD can get them:

              11 - Cure II
              15 - Divine Seal
16 - Curega (I use this more often than I do Cure II)
              21 - Cure III/Regen
              25 - Raise

Anything past level 50 I'd reccomend that you keep it levelled up as your main job levels.
              Life is really...kupo.
