Where do I get this staff from?

It offers +8 to CHR, but has some minuses...

I can't find it in any items lists, yet I've seen it and it's lvl 17.
Is it a conquest item perhaps?

Its a terribly rare drop from a NM who is overly camped called Hoo Mjuu the Torrent.

the second time i camped Huu Mjuu the Torrent I got the Monster Signa ^^ I was extremley lucky...

He spawns at H-10 in a corner of Giddeus and yes, it is overly camped. One night it was camped which I almost was mistaken for Lower Jeuno AH it was extremley bad. Sad thing is, i beat over 15+ JP players to the spawn ~~; Fast Cast + Dia = pwnzer!!


Anyways, I have found out to get a good camp time go to Giddeus from 200-700pm (cst). This seems to be JP's downtime and you only have 2-3 others camping the mob, he usually drops those stupid Zealott Mitts tho >< and only spawns once every hour if the conditions are met ;P

So, I take it the monster signa staff sells for some outrageous amount at the AH?

That kind of bonus to CHAR at lvl 17 would make a huge boost to some songs.

i camped for several hours over two nights and it did not spawn.

i could gil farm easier than this... and buy in in AH for 300k easy...

how do you get the thing to spawn or when does it spawn...

At lvl 22, you can Gil Farm 300k easily!?

Just a quick question:

I understand that the monster is horribly overcamped, but it is still at the very least worth looking into (Not too eager to spend hundreds of thousands of gil or whatever). Now, how hard is the monster?

Most stuff in Giddeus seems to stretch from really low levels of less than 5 to about 20-25. Is this monster in that range, or are we talking about having like a full party of lvl 50+ members in order to take it down? Thanks for the info.

Get a good Sword or a good Dagger. Unless your Galka or Mithra, you shouldn't need a Monster Signa staff, mostly in EXP party. CHR has no effect on buffing songs,it only affect the chances to land an offencive song like Foe Requiem and Im not even sure if it does...

its a reasonably challenging fight for a bard at 35ish

i imagine for a tank class its considerable easier tho i've seen warriors and monks there who are 30ish

Bards are truely awful at soloing though, easy challenges can be 50/50 unless you are well equipped
