Hey everyone, i would like to ask you about ideas for an advanced job. I'm only a lvl 11 war right now, but i feel it would be good to have the job in mind so that i could prepare my character accordingly. I am more of a physical kind of guy, favoring melee, but i the things such as songs and dances and gambling and such seem kinda cool to me as well. i would like a job that is fun to play, but also somewhat useful, such as a tank or something. Also, they must look stylin, i wouldn't be able to enjoy playing as a character that looked stupid. Corsairs seemed pretty cool, along with ninjas and dragoons. Your thoughts and opinions would be very sexy and appreciated. Thanks everybody.

I doubt Corsair would truly suit you. It's more a DD/support hybrid, and often it ends up being more support than DD. Still, I suppose it is what you make of it.

If you wish to DD, you'll need WAR as a subjob, and more so if you'd like to tank. For now, I'd say take WAR to 30 (not forgetting your subjob) and watch the other jobs to see how they fit into parties and go about their jobs. Until WAR30, you don't have to even think about deciding.

I'd like to point out that extra jobs are not better or superior to the starting jobs. You do not need to have an "advanced" job.

thank you all for the thoughts sexy people. also, it is pretty annoying lvling my war, for i have to keep purchasing better gear and what not, otherwise i have to fight weaker monsters in order to not die. could somebody help me around this little problem, or tell me of a quick/easy way to make more gil than i do now?

Make sure you've got Signet so that sexy crystals are dropping for you. They sell for a sexy gil or two at the AH. That's usually the new player's means of income until they can farm crawlers, bees, or spiders.
