Re: Time mage forum now open

OK, if Time Mage doesn't happen, I think Taskmage should put up a video of him eating a Time Mage hat.

(It can be a slice of pizza, but it has to resemble the hat).

[Geomancer or Elementalist. The geomancer was suggested in a semi-official capacity for Treasures of Aht Urhgan, but was later removed and replaced with the Corsair. So its possible there add it? Also time mage better be in this expansion if not, think its better dumb not to add it.

I personally don't believe it. Lots of screens from the mag for other stuff but never a shot of anything FFXI related. I'll wait till I have more solid proof, then I'll "wtf". LOL

Like I said the other time, I expect Time Mage to have built-in Warp 1-9 capabilities. And maybe Transwarp for their 2 hr.

Re: Time mage forum now open

Warp 9 makes a nin appear in two places at once, essentially duo tanking with himself. We'll call this "the Picard maneuver."

Man, I thought this was a pretty sure thing when I made the forum, but now that I've agreed to eat a hat I've got that "impending doom" sense going on ...

Just tell the truth, you made this elaborated plan just to be able to eat a hat made of nachos.

"Behind the scenes, it became common practice to refer to Patrick Stewart's habit of tugging his uniform shirt down when standing up as the "Picard Maneuver". Some fans also consider Picard's hand gesture when ordering "engage" or the "close hailing frequencies" cut off gesture to be Picard maneuvers as well."

First you will need to acquire Unitard-Tug: Ichi.

Re: Time mage forum now open

As it stands, Time Mage currently seems unlikely, for one simple reason: One of the most obvious spells they could have given it, Slow II, was given to RDM instead as a merit spell. They can't very well have a merit spell suddenly become a scroll spell, now can they? It'd screw over all the RDMs with merits in it.

Further -- though this is more of a hunch than anything -- since the mechanics of time travel have been revealed and it basically involves an avatar opening the way, a mere mortal mucking with space and time more proficiently than we already have on hand seems even more unlikely.

That being said, given the revelation of Atomos, I do expect SMN to get a new avatar with a Blood Pact list full of temporal goodness. Possibly even including Slow II. -- Pteryx

I'd hafta say it's red.. cuz either you're a new series power player-type, or you want to be killed by a lizard creature on the next away mission.

Anyways gettin back on track here, who wants to start up some more speculation on which spells TIMmies are gonna get (besides Hastega)?

                                Color doesn't matter, you're always a pahtak.

British in the Revolutionary War were the real red ensigns.

Red Mags are the Red Ensigns of FFXI, they just don't do down as quickly.
