Meriting subjobs

I don't know how job specific merits work. Regular merits are capped at lower levels. Does the same thing happen with Job specific merits? For instance, if merits were put into "berserk" and then warrior is used as a sub-job would the effect still be present and to what extent? And with JA's that can only be obtained through merits, are they level 75 only?

Job-specific merits are only active when you're using that job as your main job at level 75. They won't do anything if your level is capped, you delevel, or you're using the job as a sub.
