    When SE introduced Chocobo Raising they said that it was a trial for a new job class, Chocobo Knight. I have been thinking about it,and this iswhat I have come up with of what I would like to see:

    Name: Crusaiser(For those who don't know, there where strong heavy calvalry in midevil ->colonial times)

    Weapons:

    Polearm(Both Spears and Lances): B-
    Swords(Only Scimitars, Bastard and Longswords): C-
    Archery: D
    Marksmanship(both guns and xbows): D
    Greataxes:E
    Scythes:E
    Clubs:No native skill.

    You may notice that the job excells in no weapon, and that it's strongest, Polearms, is a lowly B-. The reason for this is to not threaten Dragoons as a potential party role. Instead, Crussaiers will get combat bonuses while riding a Chocobo, making up for the low skill. The role I hope to have Crusaiser fufill is that of both a puller and Damage Dealer,which is why I have given them ranged weapons.

    They didn't say anywhere this was going to be a trial for new job classes. >_>

    Chocobo Knight would be broken and useless anyways, we already have enough damage dealers. It'd have to be a tank or healer, something we lack dearly.

      I agree with Dak. We already have an overabundance of DD jobs. More Tanks and Healers, prz.

        They never said it was for a new job class. In fact if you read the notes on their offical site they were not even considering them for players to use for riding at first. Then later made a 360 and planned out a lot of ideas to use for players to ride.
        Chocobo's inital build was to raise and race them, no job and intially wasn't planned for players to actually ride. However they obviously saw how they could impliment it without negativly impacting the economy. Very unlikely it would become a job though I can see the confusion when it comes to the descriptions about the chocobos.
        They describe one being idea Military that was abandoned for the faster and others that were ideal for hunter style and so on. Very unlikely it'll become a job, but with the descriptions does leave possibility that they might and that's a big might impliment them for some battle use were every job has function with.

          Yes, we definitly need more Tanks and Healers. I really hate having the SMN healing in an EXP party. I just feel sorry for them having the heal instead of summon.

          Since when did SE care about how their Patches and Mods might affect a certain job?

            And I would puke if they tried another pet job, even if the pet were a chocobo. Just ask PUP how much room there is for another pet job.

            Dak, Murph, Macht, and Vair hit the nail on the head: If SE is going to mess with job balance and all that crap again anytime soon, the last thing we need is more DD. If there weren't going to be anymore healers or tanks in the next possible batch of jobs, I'm not sure I'd even want the chaff.
