hello i might just quit. I cant choose a job to play. I have many jobs

WAR MNK WHM BLM RDM THF PLD DRK BST BRD RNG SAM NIN DRG SMN BLU COR PUP 11 10 12 30 9 10 - - - - - - 10 8 21 16 - 16

i dont know what to play, i love magic and the way of a sword. was thinking o being a drk/blm please help. i am driving myself crazy. im thinking of quiting soon.

Well, Thoris, there's only one thing you can really do; decide for yourself. Just take a few days away from the game and think about what you really want to do most. Maybe you don't even want to play any more, I really don't know.

I can give you some advantages and disadvantages to some jobs.

1.) WAR

Advantages- Strong DD, Party invites come easily ((WAR/NIN))
Disadvantages- I really don't know aside from having to level NIN.

2.) WHM

A- Easy invites, fast leveling.
D- Dealing with everyone's crap, Poor soloer.

3.)PLD
A- ((I'm biased)) Freaking rocks. >.>, good invites, Can solo OKish, The armor is shiny. >.>
D- No TP or Merit burn parties. ; ;

Ok, that's all I'm gonna give you for now. I really don't feel like going in-depth.

((By the way, this is based on personal experiance. I really have no clue about WAR 33+ and WHM 30+))

honestly, you haven't even begun to "play" most of those jobs if your levels are accurate. you've barely scratched the surface.

but, even so, if you can't find something you like playing, how are we supposed to tell you what you'd like playing?

ah the mytical fighter-mage! it only really exists in one job atm, BLU; DRK is more fighter than mage and RDM is more mage than fighter.

This sounds like Blue Mage would be the job for you. All the people I know who are leveling it love how versatile it is, being able to melee and use magic. Plus you get that snazzy 'Sinbad' style AF (not the comedian Sinbad)

Pretty much. Of course, I'm leveling RDM, but that's after years of playing other jobs and other games, and finally realizing that I'd like to level this job. But that's not really relevant. XD

Regarding the OP: I really have to say that this doesn't have to be such a problem. Choosing to level one job over the others doesn't mean that you can't ever go back and level another job (obviously, since you've already kind of dabbled in most of them). There isn't any rule that says you must know what you're going to take to 75 right this instant, and there isn't any reason why you can't take your time leveling all of the jobs a bit here and a bit there until you find what works for you.^^

As I'll always say, set out to level any possible sub jobs you might need in the future. This will definately give you a clearer picture of what you do and do not enjoy, and it's at the same time productive towards your goal of progression.

Just don't give up on leveling your sub when you think you've realized what job you enjoy the most. I'd suggest stopping at 12, 20, 25, 30, or 37 if you're leveling a sub job. These are usually the levels in which the area you're leveling in will change. I always take a sub to at least twenty before stopping so I can just change in Jeuno and seek without having to relocate.
