The question is rhetorical, because every job takes skill to play; the one that takes the most skill is going to be different for each person depending on their innate aptitudes. Some people are awesome at mage jobs, but they suck at melee. Likewise, people with melee jobs can dominate those jobs, but they fall flat when dealing with a mage job. And others still have the aptitudes to be good at any job they play.

Blue Mages take a good bit of Skill to Play.

It Seriously isnt all about Spamming certain spells. It's about knowing the spell Vs Mob, Being able to switch spells on the fly based on your PT set up. Having the Right SJ is important.

I don't recommend going with NIN onry, Some people may disagree, but to many people are afraid to take hits.

Have Nin, RDM, WHM,BRD, Sam, THF levelled or pick and choose your SJ. BLU is VERY flexible.
I've Done blu/DRG and have had a BLAST with it in PT as puller and support DD.
I also Use BLU/BST ALOT, I've done a 5 BLU/BST PT and it rocks seriously. but it takes skill to play.

Brd sj is great to use in an all Blu PT for MP refresh.

Skill is knowing that you should not depend on others to support you .
If you can afford it, bring along refresh items, regen items and such incase you take hate.
Know the area you are exploring or PT'ing in, Also bring sneak oils and Powders.
Dun be like Melee's who expect mages to always sneak invisi them.

I think some jobs are easier than others, but to get the most of out one, you need skill, no matter what job it is.
