16 Whm taru/14 Mnk Galka subs/advncd?

I am relatively new and have the xbox version of FFXI, I have since made two content IDs. One lvl 16 whm taru, and one 14 Mnk Galka. I am confused as to what I should use as subs for both, and notice a lot of people have a primary that has or does every job. I have heard people laugh at Galka mages, and I think a Taru warrior may sound silly. Which should be my primary? Or is this a lost cause because I see more War/mnks than Mnk/Wars. And Whm seems the best choice to land parties, still learning. Great info about Guide to Whm Sticky. Learned more than enough....Any suggestions would be great.

Just wondering, why did you post this in the Blue Mage forum? I don't see anything mentioning BLU.

Anyways as a Galka WHM be prepared to be overlooked numerous times. I was in a party where there was no WHM and the leader refused to invite a Galka WHM and prefered to disband 20 minutes later. As Galka you have a decent MND stat but your MP pool is a little lacking. It won't matter as much in the lower levels but it'll show later on. However if you get some +MP gear it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Thought I hate to say that a lot of people don't like Galkas as mages. : (

Tarutarus excel at mage jobs with high INT stat and very high MP pool. However I've seen some pretty good Taru WARs/PLDs/DRKs. So they can melee if you want them to.
And you can switch jobs with just one character so you don't need multiple accounts to play other jobs.

As WHM you will get invites faster than other jobs since almost every exp party needs one.
