Whut is the best class?

I am getting FFXI at the end of june and im thinking about being a theif then ranger or a theif then puppet master idk if there good help me out, whut do you think the best class is

In addition to the fact youwill dislike FFXI if you play a job you dislike, there is no job class. I would start outwith RDM and take that up to 18. Then unlock your subjob and decide what aspect of RDM you liked best - melee, ranged attacks, or spells. Then narrow that down(or try others) into your specailty you want to do.

I went like this:

RDM
THF
BLM
RDM
BST
WHM
MNK
RDM
BLM
COR
BLM

As you can see, I stuck to mage jobs, and ended up as BLM, my love =D

iv never playd just watched a kid play for like 6 hours, but in WoW and gw my fav jobs are rangers.

how do sub jobs work, can you sub job abiltys carry over to your main job?

The sub job is always caped half of your job, so say your job is lvl 20 then youd get get all the skills of your sub up to 10. you need to lvl your sub too

yeah they can do alot of DMG i lvl rng sometimes and i get a lot of invites, but it cost a lot

not in this game NPC pay shit compaired to the price you can farm stuff and sell it to others tho
