    Re: Need Help deciding class

You want a magic good job that can WS and hold your own. Join the Red Mage army. Ask if they mind if you melee when possible, but always make sure to Dispel, Enfeeble, Cure, and Refresh first. Never don't /heal to store TP and use your magic intelligently.

Do be aware however that Redmage has a very intense learning curve and will require you to level up to 6 sub jobs depending on your activites in later levels.
    All spells obtained!

Same could be said of some other jobs, for that matter. An example a DRK friend of mine gave:

        DRK - WHM/BLM/RDM/DRG/WAR/THF

WHM - You might be asked to backup heal on the backline in your HNM LS
BLM - For warp ... seriously, save those conquest points
RDM - Similar to above, but they'd want you to dispel and you have stun
        DRG - Wyvern type mobs
        WAR - Main staple
        THF - SATA situations

We could also add other stuff, like for PLD ...

        WAR/NIN/WHM/RDM/BLM

        etc...

Basically, this game is just an MMO of Final Fantasy Tactics. Instead of job points, you have to gain experience points in those jobs. Rather than choosing what abilities you want to learn for that job class, you get them as you level those job classes. The idea of accessing only abilities that correlates to 1/2 the main job level is pure genius, as it protects each jobs uniqueness (The abilities that are granted at higher levels for each job class)

However, I still think that DRK's stun should be bumped to level 38 as well as PLD's flash. This makes it so that RDMs can't use the DRK job class to replace DRKs in end game. If all DRKs were wanted for was their stun, at least they are protected just for that sole reason. It galls me to no end that DRKs have a hard time getting in with end game because a RDM main can simply level DRK to 37 and never lose his/her position in that LS.
