Welcome to the by far most expencive job in the game if chemist comes as a job option... <<;
Think about what kind of ingredients high lvl abilities would use then think of having to buy them of AH. Hurts my gil supply to even think about that! ; ;Insert signature -here-.

Re: New job revailed? Chemist?
I think you'd have a better chance of seeing a Necromancer type job, considering it has already been hinted at in certain quests.

Re: New job revailed? Chemist?
I dunno what this is doing in the Blue Mage forum, but there isn't just that statement -- recent interviews do reveal that there will be more than one new job. I hope for Chemist too, personally. (Throw those negative status potions! Spread potion effects among allies! Two-hour -- use medicine without using it up for 30 seconds!) Of course, OTOH we already have alchemy in the game as a craft, so it's at least as likely to be no more than a reference to that. -- Pteryx

Re: New job revailed? Chemist?
Necromancer isnt FFXI's style. Closest thing to Necromancer would be Oracle, and it's been a while since I've played FFT. Hence, I wouldn't be able to tell you the abilities Oracles have. All I remember is that they were able to negotiate with enemies into doing their bidding.
Seems kinda Necromancerish.The Tao of Ren

Re: New job revailed? Chemist?
Corses controlled the undead, they didn't turn out to be necromancers.
Just like the spell Mini, Necromancy could possible be a spell only describes in text, and never in game... and never for player use. However, I'm not saying there is no chance of Necromancer being released. What I'm saying people need to stop making dumb posts on paper thin evidance simply because they are frustrated for new content.

Re: New job revailed? Chemist?
SE seems to use dark knight as an equivalent to their necromancer. Not to say that there never will be necromancer as a job (With SE, I've learned never to say never
I think it's reading too much into that statement, to assume that chemist will be a new job. However, I still think it's a likely job. Because, as said above, it's been here before.
Also, people have been screaming for more healers, more tanks, and more support. A chemist could be a healer. At first look it could be expensive, but if new items were introduced that chemists could use for their healing, similar to ninja tools, cost may be reasonable (although probably still on-par with ninja).
Geomancer, another possible new job, seems to be hinted at towards being a tank. Using elements to protect themselves. Stoneskin, etc. I'm guessing.
We'll just have to wait and see.
