Thinking a bit more, it seems that blue mage would have damage and enfeeble in a single spell. Which is of course, perfectly obvious.

With a blue mage wouldn't it be kinda difficult to learn skills depending how they make it work whether it's passive learning or a drain type thing. The blue mage AF looks alot like cloth type armor so im thinking they might not be good for tanking and probably end up doing a mixture of casting and average DD.

U know how ever one was worked up.. and thinking it was gonna be so great.. and it.. umm turned out how it did.. (not saying smner is bad) just it didnt live up to what people thought it would.

rumour has it that its not a blue mage, but a geomancer instead that we see on that movie

it is supposed to use natural shields to defend himself so ive read, the passive abilites are things like ice-spikes on snow weather, stoneskin on earth weather (temporary? o_O, 1 time cast? this sounds like overpowered..)

Well considering Zilart only added 3 (Samurai, Ninja, and Dragoon), I'm expecting well see 2 more, a tank class, and DD class. There was talk of a new tank class in the works, but I don't remember where I read that from.

It actually had four jobs. Summoner as well, even though you could earn the job slightly before the actual release of the expansion.

Not sure what you had in mind but SMN is extremely powerful end game. Both solo and on HNM =X

I dunno if I'd go so far as to call them "extremely powerful". Extremely useful, yes, but ONLY because they are capable of doing solid damage that comes without hate, assuming you can get the monster to stop moving long enough. A summoner can still come nowhere near the damage of a black mage.

As for solo.. meh.

And my money is actually on Mime personally... It's the only job in FF that's ever worn veils to my knowledge, and that would also explain it's use of monster skills. I just think that Beastmaster is too close to blue mage...

How can you will be able to summon such a thing like Odin or Alexander in a battlefield???
And even if SE reduce the dimension of both, then they will suck.

Definitely agreed, SMN can basically pump out 800+ damage every minute with no hate whatsoever every 55 seconds or so with even average Bloodpact- gear, and always have MP to cure and whatnot.
