Be advised that as an Elvaan your AGI is even worse than your DEX. This means that while tanking you will be subjected to a lot more critical hits and your shield and parry skills won't function as efficiently. So if you are doing a lot of tanking, you may find getting your AGI up to snuff would help more than the few extra criticals from increasing DEX.

AGI equipment--Royal Footman's Bandana, Wing Pendant, Reflex Rings (though since you just started out you will probably only be able to afford Tourmaline Rings).

DEX equipment--Balance Rings (again, you probably only have the money for Amethyst Rings).

As everyone else said, Meat Mithkabobs are the food to use. Count on those to give you your +STR and +Attack, and look to increase your other attributes through equipment.

if you want increased accuracy, go for straight +accuracy, not +DEX...that's right, nothing you can buy at your lvl for that >.> if I were you I'd stock up on +STR stuff really...what job are you looking to be? (not much you can do about your acc for a while...lvl 40-50 is around when most the +acc gears become available to you.)

also about the AGI, if you go PLD Drone or Evade Earrings are really enough...more than that is overkill...

Dex raises the max accuracy potential, while accuracy helps you reach its max potential. Dex also adds accuracy, so it's important to have a balance of both.
