What Job For Galka?

I want to make a Galka, what's a good combo for him? I've heard MNK is great with'em. WAR might not be half-bad either. I just want alot of defense, I dun care much about having high attack, just good tanking ability or defense.

For tanking, be a Warrior. Monks have low defense and bad armor.

Name any other melee that's more versatile as a WAR. If a WAR isn't "advanced", then I'm afraid to know how basic the other jobs are.

Well if you wanna be a tank go WAR then after you should change to PLD.

Well if your interested in tanking, go PLD, only problem is low MP with Galkas but you can overcome that easily. Galkas are the best tanks IMO.

or damage dealer (DRK,MNK)

and the worse... mages (RDM,BLM,WHM,SMN)

Be what want to be ^^b. Play all the jobs(maybe after first getting WAR to 30) and check out the other ones. Who knows you may say you want to be a WAR, but you really a badass BRD deep down inside. Remember you can change your job :X.

For tanking and Galka, any of the three tank jobs are fine. Galka is arguably the best at any of them.

Some people don't really like Galka PLDs but MP becomes less and less of an issue after 41. Before that you will want the ability to make juices. The sweet side of this combo is that you can never really have too much health. Oh, and Galka PLD with Spirits Within for the win! :D

For the Ninja job, Galkas excel. The high HP/VIT is great to have for those times when Utsusemi drops and you get hit with a big attack. And having good STR/DEX mix will help the damage side. The downside to this combo IMO is that the idea of a big-ass elusive ninja doesn't really jive. I got kind of tired of my Galka NIN after a while.

Galka WAR is the most versatile choice. You can tank, some, or deal damage.
