My general beef with the Elvaan race

You'd be dead wrong Thegod,

As a Red Mage... not only do I notice it when the Whm can't keep up with heals (because I have to pick up the slack), but I also notice agro loss.

There is a drop off going from an Elvaan Paladin to a Mithra Paladin and its noticable by the number of cure increases I have to do besides my refresh/enfeeble/MB cycle.

Of all Paladins I've worked with, Elvaan are ruitinely the best. I simply don't have to spend extra MP on them the way I do constantly with Mithra. Even Hume isn't as bad.

Galka are really good too, but they scare me sometimes with limited MP. Still they pull it off better than Mithra do.

I like when people think outside of the box and do jobs that their race isn't the best at.

As long as you have the right equip. and you know how to play your character well, you do very well.

I had to change my job from war/mnk to war/whm. I know what most people think about this, but hear me out. As I leveled my war up most parties I was in had a whm that couldn't pull his/her weight or something else that would keep getting me killed.

So I changed to war/whm, my limited healing abilities have saved my parties from certain death, many of time. May sound funny, but it is true.

I plan on playing FFXI again (I quit about 5 months ago) with my to brothers. I won't be doing war/whm, because I know I will have at least two good people on my pt.

As long as you can do your job well, I don't care what race you are.
