Drg=gimped bst?

Ok im not trying make a flaming post against drg's or anything, but in my point of view bst's would make be better dmg dealer, and would be more useful in a party than a drg.

heres why....

-bst;s can use more armour than a drg, some which gives alot of good melee bonuses.

-bst's have an A rating in axes, some which do very good dmg compared to their delay. Also, drg's spears are bad are weak agaianst armoured enemies which sucks.

-a bst could also duel weild the axex for even more dmg and + stats.

-when things are going bad in a party, the bst could use familair and then release it somewhere and save everyone from dieing.

-when their are pets to charm like EM's a bst could switch from attack gear/tanking gear to +charisma gear and charm one, some can do as much ALOT of dmg.
Which are waaay stronger than a drg's wyvrn.

-Even if their are arent any pets to charm the bst could use jusgs which still do decent dmg.

-I dont have too much information on this but i have heard that some bsts could ull with charm since the range and delay is good.

-Another way a bst could save a prty is they could use charm a pet/use broth and make it attack while everyone runs.

-Sic are very good and do lots of dmg or could enfeeble the mob.

because we are too cool for parties

nah, its just because we "steal" their monsters and 99% of the people on the server think that we gimp their exp, and we dont do that unless mob is EM or higher ( i think ).

A bst reduces party exp only if the pet is of higher level than the highest level party member.

I do agree that bst is horribly underrated for parties, but I also think it is a completely different class from drg.

BSTs are the best damage dealers in most situations.

If you've ever PTed with one, you'd know why.

Comparing them to DRG is like comparing RNG to a PLD.

And the reason that they aren't in parties is because most BSTs play BSTs because they want to play solo.

yes i want to play solo, but ALSO be in a prty thats why i posted this, just to tell evryone that bst is not bad in partys.

Because most exp areas don't have mobs closeby that you can reliably charm and use against the VT to IT mobs that people fight.

I've partied with a bst before... and admittedly, things went pretty well.

However, its not really commonplace for a BST to be seeking. They wouldn't hold a crucial role in the party (tank/refresher/healer). Therefore, they'd naturally be grouped with the melees like Drg, Mnk, Sam, etc. With that sort of competition, I think that BSTs generally just xp on their own.

lol that last part u said, is 100% correct.

hmm lets c, mabye ill wait an hour or 2 for a party, mabye itll get 2-3k xp an hour, last mabye 1-2 hours, then disband.

or....

i could just go out solo make 2k/hour pretty easily and xp for X hours i want to.

No parties = no noobs getting u killed, esp. the lvl my bst is (29) i'd be in yhoator jungle.... uhh no thx on that one, ill just go solo in korrloka(sp?) tunnel and be lv 32 in a few days

that's why bst's play solo, there biased ppl who've had too many bad experiences and don't wanna deal with ppl ex (prior thf's)

I know but what if i judt like the idea of being a bst and not playing solo? Im just trying to point out that bsts can be very good in a party.
