can someone help me out here? I have no clue what future job combination i want so could someone give me some feedback and help me to decide?(two things yu should keep in mind is that i like to be differtn from other players, and also that my game gets laggy when im in partys).

here are the jobs im considering

Bst/nin- would be really cool to solo and use monsters, it is also alot more rare and different than oher jobs which i like. HOWEVER i want to participate in hnms and nms etc and i would kinda be left out from doin all the fun boss battles and stuff.

rdm/nin-i have always wanted to do this and could play solo almost as good as bst. This combo is also very unique which i like, and would be pretty fun to have two swords and lots of enhancing magic. HOWEVER, people will probably call me an idiot cus im not goin rdm/blm or rdm/whm, and it may not be as good 4 soloing as bst.

bard-dunno i always like to feel rare and wanted, this job gives that, but some people say its sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring and usually quit it.

so could someone help me decide which job to choose?

Hmmm....Since your first job is WHM, I would recommend a mage job as your primary. Maybe BLM/WHM or RDM/WHM until lvl 30. From your post, it seems that you would like the RDM/WHM combo better. Once you get your Advanced Job Quests done, just experiment and see what you like.

You will need either a melee/melee or mage/mage job if you want to party. That's a harsh fact that you'll eventually have to submit to. (first hand experience....I did RDM/DRK for a while until I was waiting more than an hour for pty....ack). Plus having a gimpy sub may lead to a bad reputation among players on your server. However, this game isn't just about leveling. IMHO I would at least lvl a THF to 15 for treasure hunter and perhaps lvl RNG and NIN as far as you want to take them. The RNG Widescan ability is a must for hunting NMs with large spawn areas. I haven't done the NIN quest yet, but from what I read....it owns when soloing. I tried BST and DRG, but neither was for me. BRD..I did the quest, but haven't tried it....no real urge to either.:spin:
    61-RDM 33-BLM 32-DRK 15-THF 16-WHM 8-SMN 11-BST 5-PLD 24-RNG 10-NIN 1-SAM 13-WAR 6/6AF 4/4 RSE RANK 8 San'Doria

If your computer can't handle parties you're screwed, because parties and teamwork is what this game is about. A BST is pretty much the only class that can solo his/her levels, but even then you will need help with quests and missions. If you want to play alone because of hardware limitations, either upgrade your hardware or buy another game.

no, my computer only gets laggy when i am in a oplace with lots of partys all crammed together(like kazham etc) but when im in a party in an open area its fine.

well if you want my opnion....I like pt's....so if you end up liking them when you get to your adv job time I would go for the summoner/whm approach....you still get a 'pet' and you get to be a healer. Might be a little hard a first but it sounds like fun for me.....but a bst is a good choice of you are as bad as I am at GETTING a good group.

            1. Lag
            A. If the the lag is caused by the abilities and effects of the parties nearby you can turn off the special effects. Menu >> Config >> Effects.
            B. Try looking for alternative leveling locations from the normal ones.
Since you mentioned Kaz I assume you're in that lvl range already.
Batalllia Downs is good as a replacement for Kaz but I don't know when the xp starts to drop since I've never really xped there.
At 30 you can try Sauromugue Champaign and the weapons there.

There is also a thread in the NIN part of the boards called "(|Camp|) (|Where?|)" that mentions some alternative lvling spots.
            2. Solo ability
            A. Bst is the undisputed solo king. /NIN is a potential sub for BST. It lets you use Utsusemi to try to prevent damage (like a proactive way of healing). It will probably be a bit more expensive than /WHM though because of the ninjitsu. Not to mention dual wield looks badass.
            B. RDM/NIN is a decent solo class, but no where near as good as BSTs. Supposedly at lvl 74 RDM/NINs can start soloing the avatars, never seen any pics of it though.
Applepie on these boards as well as other RDMs can solo Ts, which at higher lvls is all but impossible for other classes (save BSTs and NIN... rich and skilled NINs).
            C. NINs, with enough bling, can solo quite a bit. The other day I saw a NIN soloing Aquarius in the Boyahda Tree and doing very well. Stanislav is a lvl 75 NIN on these boards that solos a NM named Amemet for cash. Most other non-NIN or BST jobs I've seen camping Amemet while lvling in Kuftal were working in small groups of 2 or 3. Saw a WHM/BST almost take Amemet down, died trying, then a PLD from a friend's LS (sent him a tell when I saw that no1 was claimiing Amemet.. was roaming around for like 30-45 mins) finished him off. Spent at least an hour trying to give that WHM/BST the skins  .
