Hahahahahahah, thats funny... I don't really make it a habbit to ask, but I've found that most mithras are males, and most people who claim to be female in real life are hume or taru white mages.

In my 5+ years of playing MMORPGS, i have had about equal number of male and female charicters. I have probibly spent more time on the female charicters if i cared to try and figure it out, but thats mostly becaus i played the same charicter once for about 3 years(off and on), and it was a female one, and i liked the class=p

If you ask me, some of them elvaan and hume males look a little er.. 'pretty'. I sometimes wonder what kinda people like to follow them around all day.

Quezi, my char now, is a female taru. I liked the hair style and thought it looked the most 'cute' out of all tarus, so i picked it. Oh no, i hope im not gay for playing a 2 foot tall female garden gnome.

Remember its an MMORolePlayingGame. Now yeah, noone role plays activly, but i do consider my charicters 'NOT ME', maybe i am just old fasion like that=P, so i really dont feel wierd playing a female.

Something i learned long ago;

1. If its a female, its probibly really a male
2. If its a male, it could still be a female
3. If someones charicter is opposite of what they are in real life, you still refer to the charicter by its gender.
4. You call someone their charicter name, not their real name, even if you know it. My friend often plays with me, my real life friend, who iv known for years, in game i do not call him Bob, which is his real name, i call him by whatever his charicter is.

Finaly a few things;

This game requires proof of real life marrige in order to become married in game, im kinda against that, but many popular mmorpgs dont have marrage at all so most people probibly have never played in a game that had it. As i said, im against it, becaus such things should be considerd a part of your charicters life, not yours. Even if both parties are of the right sex in such an in game relationship, dont ask for phone numbers! Yes, some people have met through games and end up married, it happens, but you should never ever attempt to bring that about. If you become good friends with someone, then at a later time become romanticly involved, fine, but as was said, this is not a dateing service. Altho i have always said you can learn more about a person in one night of playing with them than you can in a week of visiting. If you gain someones trust online, they tend to be far more open than if you had gained it in real life.

Anyways I only know 2 mithra that are really female and in another point state dhere I give "Red Roses" to my female friends sometimes just to add to my dahinglyness. And I give stuff to all my close friends, regardless of gender.

When I was lvling my Mule (hume/femme) I noticed that I got a lot of examines and whatnot, and when I was lvling my other mule (Mithra) I noticed that random people would cast cures and protect on me. (I lvled my mules some, I was bored. )

However, when I use my taru male mule, the only time I get any sort of attention is when I kill mysellf in Lower Jeuno.

It's worse for a Bearded Amish Hume Male... oh well.

I play a female mithra, because of the stats. I'm a perfectly straight guy! ^^

My two real life friends got me in to this game, and we discussed what I would be; a thief. Mithra > all when it comes to that, so they told me to go Mithra.. I complained a bit but ended up doing it. Can't say I regret it, I love having a tail!

ok maybye this is just me but if someone runs around a game hitting on people for looks that is creepie because our looks ingame are fake >.< its like the person hits on others online because they can't get slapped and hurt and etc....


edit: oh yeah and when theres a taru in a robe or wearing a hat or really wearing anythnig that covers their head i myself dunno if there a male taru taru or female taru taru >.< their just small and cute and edible... errr *hides*

This MAY work in some cases but not all, especially if the person claims to be a minor (like me! hehe im 15 just if you were wondering), because minors have to use their parents credit cards (and permission unless they feel like risking getting in trouble ^^). Also, take in consideration roomates of different genders and friends (possible cheating husbands/wives ) that use their roomates/spouses playonline account. Both of these circumstances may show a name of a different gender (or it could be a genderless name like Jessie). So ask them about that first somehow, then check their credit card and see if it agrees.

ALSO, when you ask someone their gender (be careful about this, lots of people will ignore you or call you perverted even if you are just curious and don't mean anything by it... its kinda weird referring to someone as a she when its really a he you know), they may be roleplaying when they respond so ask them their IRL gender. Be careful as I stated above though, don't want something like this to happen:

Fudd (speaking to a Mithra in PT): What is your gender in real life?

Ok maybe it wouldn't be quite like that but similar... lots of girls/guys imitating girls are sensitive about that stuff. Oh yeah, 99.9% of the time, names with vixen/vixxxen/sexychick/or whatever in them actually have a man behind the controller. :dead:

Anyway, I hope that the thing stated earlier about proof of IRL marriage to get married in game is false of course (I wanna marry a Chocobo! Who in real life is married to a Chocobo?). Anyway, have fun playing just don't overdo it !

Most Mithra's on any server are usually played by males IRL. I pretty sure almost all Galka's are played by guys, I only know one for sure so far where a girl IRL plays as a Galka @_@;.

And like insaneiggy said, who's @$$ would you rather stare at for hours? A human female/males (depends on your gender IRL probably :spin: ) or a big, fat, pale, lizard tail?
