Whats up with humes?

Stat wise, Humes seem to be pretty much not good at anything, while the other races have at lease one or two stats they are strong in and the others are close to what humes get. Does anyone else notice this? I think to make up for it, humes should gain exp faster or something. Then again, maybe its just the price you pay for your character not looking like a freak!

other race got some trong points but also some weak points

hume are in the midle which mean no weak points

for this game that you can switch job freely, being hume is a bit easier to experience all jobswithout serious draw back

Having humes gain xp faster than the other races would create a serious imbalance, because humes are not weaker than the other races. Like Jei said, they are just more balanced stat-wise without any major strengths/weaknesses.

By the way, if you think mithras look like "freaks", you're crazy

go there then click on races it has the stats. humes are basic in everything, all stat's are the same grade..... They're good characters though very well rounded. You can play as any job and not have problembs, you won't be the best but you can play everything pretty well.

lets just say this, a taru white mage and an elvaan white mage. Taru have more mp but elvaan have more mind. They both help for being a white mage, so it all depends. Humes just average on both so there really is nothing bad about them. Its not like they r worthless in anything. No race is worthless in anything i think.

hmm. never know elvaan got higher mnd.... i thought taru got highest both mnd and int.

Nah, Elvaans have the higher Mind. I don't think it makes a very big difference as a white mage though since Healing Skill Level also players a good factor in how strong heals are, also I think there's a cap on how powerful they get. Maybe a white mage can come in and help us out. :spin:

Well, I dont got game yet but I think this is a good idea about
races bein good at a job.....
Taru Tarus make good mages as they got good INT.....
What about a Galka mage? Galka Mage probably
survive better because thay got high HP and VIT.....
Another example, Elvaans got high STR making them
good physical fighters.... and Mithras make good
physical fighters even thou there STR not as good as Elvaans, but
that got great DEX and AGI.
Well, I'll get to the point that a Hume is good because that
having well balanced stats makes them have no weak points
towards there job..... so you see, bein balanced race isn't
actually bad..... but like I said, I dont got FFXI yet but i think
each race has its good and bad towards at whatever job.
