You can specualate about good support jobs, but the fact is NO ONE is going to invite a PLD with a MNK subjob. WAR is the most open job when it comes to sub jobs. Up till LV60 you can pretty much sub anything except BLM and still do a good job. After 60 its all about SAM subjob. Most Melee classes will sub WAR just for the stat boosts and the abilities. There are exceptions however like THF's and DRK's after LV60

I don't know why... I find PLD/MNK a cool job too. It's that many importers are used to PLD/WAR because it's so useful.. has any Importer seen a really strong PLD/MNK any feed back?

Solo it might do well, but PT wise, I doubt it. Taunt is a must if you want to be the tanker, which is the job of most PLD.
