Does it matter what job i start out as?

Okay i currently have a level 18 War, but i changed my mind and i want to make a BRD/WHM. Now would it matter if i just leveled my War to level 30, Unlocked the BRD, and just went BRD/WHM from there? Or would it be more beneficial (explain why if it is) for me to have started out as a WHM? Any help would be greatly appreciated, because i want to know whether to remake my character or not.

Think about it... if you started out as a white mage and got to level 30 and then got the Brd job whm would already be at lvl 30 so you could go all the way to lvl 60 with brd and not have to worry about your whm job.

It really doesnt matter what job you start with cause (as you know) you can change whenever you want. It is just a matter of how much time you have.

So in your cas right now if you got war to lvl 30 then unlocked brd but wanted a whm sub job you would have to keep lvling them both as to even out the sub job difference.

But DONT REMAKE your char you could just go back to you mog house and change your job to whm and just lvl it up from 1 (why waste an extra dollar to make a whold new char).
Who knows maybe haveing a 18 war could help out in the future say if a friend gets the game and you want to help him out a bit but you brd is way to high.

I can't give you a players experienced answer, but I know a lot since I started visiting here. From what I understand .......Tauguy beat me to it lol. Yeah, I wouldn't remake your character for those exact reasons.

Actually it doesn't matter at all what you start out as. You can do anything as long as your having fun, and have enough time.
