    Re: skillchain resist rates

while all these sound like practical and sane suggestions sadly where im from the ninjas dont use the wheel cuz they cant afford it or "they don't need it to level ninjutsu" and a red mage melee in a party is met with the same attitude as someone who just necrod a post, but i digress. the question here is that do skilchains obey magic formulas and to what degree, which probably would have been a better op now that I think about it. the +mnd on sam might just be for the additional effect of the higher weapon skills. Could magic attack bonus effect them? could magic acc in general? And on a sorta unrelated side note, I noticed when farming in the glacier guillotine would suffer like a 10% decrease during ice weather and a 10% increase on winds day. No parser so i cant prove this but something to throw out there.

You don't need to spin the wheel to reduce skillchain resists. At most you would need 1 tool, and it doesn't need to be spammed.
the question here is that do skilchains obey magic formulas and to what degree
      For resists, yes.
Could magic attack bonus effect them?
      No.
      could magic acc in general?
Unknown. If I had to speculate, the resist rates are probably based on either the level of the player, or his skill with the weapon.
And on a sorta unrelated side note, I noticed when farming in the glacier guillotine would suffer like a 10% decrease during ice weather and a 10% increase on winds day. No parser so i cant prove this but something to throw out there.
This is incredibly dubious, and it would be impossible to notice just by eyeballing. The damage variance on Guillotine is huge.

Speaking of Ninjutsu now that we know the Magic Hit Rate formula, Ninjutsu should improve resist rates by 15%, the equivalent of having an HQ staff.

If you really wanna increase SC damage, the elemental obis should work if the SC element includes the current day or weather. Problem is most people aren't gonna carry around all 8 obis just to force an extra 10% skillchain damage.

Equipping an elemental staff also helps but the only jobs free to do that are ranged attackers.

In a typical party set up, yes. But ones to test skill chains, not rely a typical party though when you are testing though.

Two Sams, or a Sam, and other job can SC each other. Just have the Rdm there healing, and meleing with an enspell2. Just make sure the two that are Scing aren't synced, and have some one tank the mob as you do the testing.

Makes pairing up with a sch that much more fun dontcha think? But ya I see where your coming from. Rngs get all the damned fun.

Though tak if I were to do it just for testing sake then whats the point in bringing to conventional setups? Nice for BSing but if thats the only way i can use it whats the point?

Mainly for testing purposes if you wish to test it. It will he helpful, and might even get people back into the mood to do so. But then again, its just me saying random shit lol.
