    Re: The EXP Party Index

By offering up this new thread, I'm hoping to retire a few stickies in this forum to make the place a little cleaner looking.

    Threads I'm looking to retire/unsticky:

    - How To Form and Function a Proper Party - Basics of Partying: Only one of the link/topic promised in OP was ever added to the first post.

    - How to Join PT / Game Manners (with JP Players):
Linked to in The EXP Party Index. (Note: this thread's OP didn't quite cover the difference in JP and NA party mentality, which Tuffless did.)

    - Yet another one of StarvingArtist's Renkei Charts: Not maintained; link in OP no longer works.

If one of the moderators would please decide if stickying this "index" can retire those old threads, that'd be great.

    Thanks.

I've reviewed those old posts and verified that they are indeed out of date. Old outdated posts retired and unstickied, as requested.

Please note that one of the resource links: Experience Points table is incorrect for every level above 50. The required EXP to next level is one row off. For the correct numbers, refer to http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Experience_Points

I think you perhaps misslooked, both charts seem correct. The only thing I noticed is that Wiki says at level 50, you need 7,800 exp to level up.

Edit: The total exp is different too.

It almost looks like the chart at nephilim-x changes the interpretation of what each row shows after level 50. From level 1 to 50, it shows how much exp you need to reach the level shown. In other words, if the row shows N as the level, it shows the exp you need to get from level N-1 to level N.

The rows for level 51 and up show the amount of exp you need to reach the next level above that. If the row shows N as the level, it shows the exp you need to get from level N to level N+1.

Consequently, this shift leaves out 50 to 51, where you need 7800 exp (which is correctly reported at wiki). Wiki leaves out the 44k you need once you reach level 75 to cap your exp. So compare the total exp given in the last row of the wiki page to the total exp given for row 74. If you take the difference, you'll find the 7800 exp which is missing from the chart at nephilim-x.

Just wanted to point out something. With the new Puppet head Pup could become an effective healer as well. At least H↘ I would think.

Good point; I'll keep an eye out for confirmation of PUP healer effectiveness.

I didn't notice the "," earlier and while I did momentarily think that's what the arrows meant, in my confusion, I thought it said that "RDMs are horrible healers"

That blue and underline combination does not work well here. Sometimes, less is best.
