Small rant...

So we've been partying with 2WHM's (myself included), BLM, WAR, WAR, RNG.
Eventually the other WHM had to leave. The party leader is one of the WAR's.
So once the WHM leaves, the BLM hits escape and takes us to Sauramogue Champaign... and this is where the headache comes.

I'm Eohmer (obviously), and the PT leader is Molokia. I was too lazy to edit the snapshot, so here it is...



So my question is this... if she didn't want 2 BLM's, why did she invite 2 WHM's to start the party?

Oh yeah, and the replacement.... another WHM. >.<

Two white mages? How was the damage output of said party?

Ugh, if your party needs two white mages to succeed then it seems you've got a problem.

Some people are just stupid though ... remember the leader's name and don't party with him/her anymore.

It strikes me as stupid also (just thought of this) that two black mages couldn't have made up for the lack of that second healer. I mean most black mages sub white mage anyway, and if the leader was so concerned about being healed I'm sure those black mages could have helped out.

If they Escaped to Sauromugue, that means they were partying in Garlaige Citadel, which is a mid-30s and high-40s XP zone. WHM are not particularly useful in either case, whereas BLMs do very good consistent damage while retaining the ability to backup heal.

I'd say that party leader was clueless and have done with it, rank 8 or not.

Did she ask you to find a replacement cause if she didnt Im on her side. In that screenshot without seeing wether you were asked or not you come across to me as one of those members who think they are the leader and try to replace people and get bitchy about the leader not wanting them.

Rank means nothing these days. It has absolutely no bearing on player quality, period.

You can have Rank 10, multiple 75 jobs, full merits, sky and sea access and its still means jack about your quality as a player.

As for the situation itself, player apathy and ignorance have reigned since the late CoP days. Once many people got their high level jobs, it felt like people just stopped caring about professional attitudes or respecting others' playtime. I've had people take invites as main healers only to fake disconnect for an LS Event they KNEW was coming. Oh and lets not forget the people who leave short notice with no replacement or the people who want to take a half hour break for dinner right in the middle of a PT. These aren't hard things to address, its just some people don't care to.

I'm sorry to say this but you were a jerk in this case, the leader was clearly looking for a replacement and you got pissed because she didn't want to invite your friend.

If instead of acting the way you did you would've explained why 2 blm would've worked better for that setup with a PL then maybe things would've been different. Maybe you didn't agree with the leader's decision but she was the party leader and you were just being a jerk about it.

Also, having a PL doesn't mean you don't need a main healer in your party, specially if your tank is taking too much damage, PLs don't have unlimited MP.

So my questions would be: How fast were the kills? What lvl was the PL? How often was the PL running out of mp? And how much xp/hr were you getting?

If the leader decided the party needed more healing power there's gotta be a reason for it.

I didn't see that being the case. It's more about the leader not trying to communicate. OP asked how long the leader plan to be playing, no answer. Asked if they want blm, no answer. And the leader even assumed the OP wanted to leave. This kind of interaction, believe me, gets annoying really fast. Nothing's worse than a leader that doesn't talk.
