At level 37 - 40 party, you may try Goblin at Outpost~pond~Zone at Eastern Alpa Desert (spelling*), or Bat/fly in Gusval Tunnel (near Valkum Dunes~secret beach zone). The Nest Beetle Camp in Crawler's Nest can really support 1 party. Camp at the teleport Crystal in Yhator Jungle (spelling*) may work too, by mixing Master Couerl and Worker Crawlers.
These are nice spots, but the spot that is never EVER taken (in my experience) is the one behind the outpost in Sanctuary of Zi'Tah. Kill flies and goblins. (Be careful pulling the BST goblins, as other nearby monsters can link with their pets.)
P.S. The main drawback of popular spots, often, is their popularity. This leads to too many parties camping on top of each other and exactly the kinds of problems you described. That, as much as the desire for variety (i.e. not another goddamn crab! please!!) is why I like lesser-known camps.
Makes me want to discard my manners in game, and treat everyone else without respect. Why should I be Mr Nice guy when everyone else isnt bothering?
Hmm.
1. Politely ask the other party or their PL to please leave camp if it cannot support more than one party, by /say then by /tell. First to arrive should have priority on the camp--the second should have check /search beforehand.
2. If they do not move, and you have the backing of a powerful LS (*cough* BST LS *cough*), get the LS to wipe out the zone. If those interlopers will not respond to polite reminders of party etiquettes, I consider it justified to reduce EVERYONE's exp/hour to 0.
No, it's not exactly productive--but at least it's fair.
3. If you only have small, not-so-powerful LS (like me), settle for making do with what mobs you can find, and take notes. Post their actions and names, especially the PL's. Maybe that will shame them into better behavior next time.
4. In any case, hang on to the camp for as long as possible; surrendering the camp is like a stamp of approval to let jerks like that get even more mobs now, and a license to repeat this injury on another party later. (This is the real reason behind #2, BTW; letting them get away with it is to encourage them to do more of the same.)

I sound a bit petty; guess I don't like people crowding my camp, either. ^_^;

...... genius!

I was always the first in my party to suggest we all move and camp directly inside the beetle room. It's dangerous, but with more than one party contending for pops it isn't quite as dangerous. You just camp close to the exits just incase you need to beat a hasty retreat.
From Valkurm to merit levels this is a problem, save for a handful of areas where people are willing to go off-the-beaten path and that is why camp are overcrowded. And ever since ToA, its gotten worse. Now even jobs that can solo waltz out into the middle of zones full of EXP PTs. And they don't give a crap about dragging down the EXP for others.
Its such an easy problem to fix, too, its just players are too lazy to take the initiative. There's these two places accross the ocean where you can EXP in your teens (Maze of Shakarami, Buru Peninsule) and even another in Ordelle's Caves. They're no more distant from Jeuno than Valkurm.
But that's where the problem starts and the mess just continues from there. So many other options and alternatives and people just won't go.
That's why I love BST, I can actually EXP somewhere else for once and do it in peace without somone camping near me. No one EXPs in Attowah Chasm or the early section of Bibiki Bay, heck, ever try Riverne Site #0A1? Fun as hell.
And ToA's shoddy hub design just makes it worse. I seriously wish SE had thought about instancing the staging point zones as well, its all too easy to get to and overcrowd these zones, meanwhile Uleguard Range, Bibiki Bay and sky camps are neglected.

F***ing Amen to that. And it all STARTS there. People get set on the norm and get to lazy to go somewhere else. Don't know how many times I've asked someone to take the ship and head over to Mhuara and xp over here and they always say no too much time, funny thing is I'll ask them at level 17. 3 hours later my group would be done having the last person ding 20 and he's sitting there at level 18. Normally I'll be an ass and ask him if he is interested in a qufim party, and ask him how much more he has to go to hit the next level just to rub it in

LOL thanks for the input, expecially the one about getting the LS to wipe the zone. I dont have a powerful LS but in the case of beetles, we have enough to be able to clear that room NP.
I and hear you about the not so normal camps, and yes Id like to do that, but even suggesting it gets met with moans and groans...people are just too frickin lazy!
been on both sides of that fence.this is why I tell the people i pl what to camp best place to camp ..and of course not to link.....if they do i take aggro by cure 3 ing and let a nearby party have it.lol
Last time this happened i had 2 lizards in the dunes attacking me before team 2 actually copped on
Kurb>> if you want this link you can take it Im not farming
?????>> But your PLing
Kurb >>> Take this mob before they do
I know I'm a great PL
It ain't tanking unless you get hit
To those who are about to tank I salute you.
