Well since I've beat Maat, its time to level again. Except, I haven't leveled RDM since ToAU first came out. Can someone fill me in on what I need to know about leveling in the ToAU areas from 69-75?

Re: Partying in ToAU areas
Caederva Mire will consume you from 70 on. The memories of Valkrum Dunes Come back with a vengence! (imps, jnun, and flies are xp prey)
Or you can always be a refresh whore (in a manaburn party) and get 10X more xp at Mount Zhalym off jelles. Your call.

Re: Partying in ToAU areas
Imps in the Mire was how I went from Lv.71 to Lv.75. A few scattered trips to the Bay against Gobbys, but after ToAU was released, everybody and their mother headed to the Mire.
Some Imps are BLM types, others I'm not sure what type they are. They seem to randomly resist Silence, but then never cast any spells. Dispel, Silence, and bring a few stacks of Echo Drops.
The Manaburns in Mount Zhalym just suck in my mind. I was never a big fan of Manaburns, but in my experience they really suck here. Flan dies fast, but to Refresh 6 people and pull is a real pain in the butt and MP.
With Sky access you can crank out pretty good EXP vs. Weapons. TP Burn or "traditional setup." TP Burns can roam the "main camp" and pull down 10k EXP/hour. BRD, RDM, and 4 big WSs. 3 WAR/NIN, RNG/NIN, BRD, and myself pulled down 27k EXP in less time than it took for my Glace to wear off. NIN, MNK, SAM, RDM, BLM, WHM in another section of the Shrine pulled down ~7k EXP/hour.
I staticed with a SMN from Lv.67 to Lv.75, so I didn't have to do full time WHM duties until I started doing TP Burns at Lv.75. So I was able to MB and put good use to all the nuking gear I bought and carried around with me at all times.
So before ToAU was released, everybody was in the Bay. So we went from one zone overloaded with people to another zone with all the same people.Odude

Re: Partying in ToAU areas
Are the areas in the mire for 70+ accessed from Nashmau or one of the Staging points in the area?

Re: Partying in ToAU areas
Mainly from the staging point east of Nashmau (Azouph, I think?), but that's primarily because people are too impatient to wait for the boat. You could get there easily from Nashmau if you wanted to.
There's also quite a few parties outside Mamool Ja staging point most of the time, and occasionally some tp burns killing trolls in Mount Zhayolm.
Getting all five staging points would be quite helpful if you don't have them already, but especially Azouph, Mamook and Mount Zhayolm as those cover 90%+ of TAU exp camps.Defeated: Maat, Divine Might, Fenrir, Kirin, Cactrot Rapido, Xolotl, Diabolos Prime, Kurrea, 9/10 Dynamis Bosses (missing Tav), Promathia, Proto-Ultima, Proto-Omega, 4 Jailers, Apocalypse Nigh, 6/6 Nyzul Bosses

Re: Partying in ToAU areas
Thank you very much to everyone who said bring echo drops. What I usually have would not have been anywhere near enough.

Re: Partying in ToAU areas
I usually bring 2 stacks of Echos with me any time I do any thing in my Pimp suit, and that's done the job for me in the Mire. But I also have an uncanny knowledge of AoE ranges, so those 2 stacks last me quite a while.Odude
