Sorry that would be my fault. I referred to it in another post for an example of what it takes to make me drop a party.

I had actually forgot about these idiots until I ran past thf recently. He was lay in the snow in Xacrabard. I was actually nice enough to cast Raise on him, he declined it then sent me a /tell.

    thf>> R3 me
me>>I'm rdm so accept because I'm not wasting another 150mp on you.
    thf>>Find me an R3 then

I /checked him saw he didn't have his LS equipped so I /waved and left.

wow, are you serious? I hate when people demand a higher tier raise. Asking for it is one thing, but demanding one is just absurd. People should be appreciative that someone is taking the time to Raise someone, even IF it's R1.

I forgot what I was doing, but I once died near a zone. I saw a party zone in, and the RDM in AF stopped, examined me, and then proceed to go with their PT. I didn't ask for a R1, but if you stop to examine, then you have time to raise....

      People suck. :-\

Re: Please give things a chance

K this is my first post so i'll say this...If i sound like a n00b i'm sry but i have to say it

Orthodox players who only "want xp" and do things the old-fashioned way of "Whm heal, You tank, I SATA, you back up tank, and the rest SC"(this is an example pt).... suk... I'm sry but if you don't like the idea of a 2 rdm and a brd in the pt then u got sometin wrong wit ya. I made a pt with a brd, 2 rdm, Drg, Pld, and me (drk) and the bard said "This is a bad setup i'm sry i'm leaving" and he left..... wtf mate... can someone plz tell me that my pt setup was at least decent and explain their reason about my pt.
        ....why the bard...?
But on ur case queenuma i hope ppl will understand that tryin new things for better xp will be more appreciated. I hope that ppl who read this will learn the true meanin of xp pt and not do the old fashion of "we need a whm" and complain of better xp with a drk with a GA than crap xp withi a drk witha scythe....

This post was old enough in the first place without being resurrected with a post like that.

What's up with people being so fanatical about the age of posts? Except for a few things like "what are the new jobs going to be like" from before TAU even came out, most "old" posts still contain useful and relevant info.

If the admins wanted to put an expire time on posts they could do so. But there's no good reason to.

I'm sure there are still plenty of people with the mindset described in the OP, even a whole *two months* later.

i concur, people get upset when people bump old posts, but also when people post new threads about stuff thats been talked about before. if theres still room for disscussion, then there should be somewhere to discuss it, whether it's here or in a new thread, to me it makes more sense to bump an old thread if it's still relevant.

Re: Please give things a chance

Great Axe is B+ for DRK with a 118 skill at LV40, while Scythe is A+ with 123 skill
pathetic noobs shouldn't say a DRK shouldn't use Great Axe at low levels.
most ppl think what works at 75 works at 20 or even 10+, saw a WAR/NIN LV14 seeking a party in the dunes the other day while trying to form a party, asked him what's your /NIN for?
                WAR/NIN>> i'm a DRK75 n00b
                /sigh
parse WAR/DRG or DRK/DRG against a WAR/NIN (no ridill cheating :p) or a DRK/THF and tell me who wins.

Is everyone so stuck in the mindset of their high level job that they can't adapt to how things work pre 50 or are they all just forgetful?
                they have no brains ^^

Gained 3 cooking levels whilst typing this so I am happier now.
congrats & good luck in your cooking xD

I got L1 with my static, got sky with a group of people my level, all AF done with my LS mates (when I was the highest in the LS).
Isn't it kind of unfair to expect the average person to spend time researching a video game on the internet? It doesn't say anywhere in the game manual or on the box: memorize Alla/KI forum posts before playing. To most people, it's just a game, and don't spend the majority of their days debating formulas on the damage for various weapons and such, and the "perfect" stat ratios/effects. Kicking newbies out of parties because they use a sword as WAR, without bothering explaining how the combat skill system works, and just saying "Get an axe, nub!" leads to the mentalities like "ZOMG, DRK w/ GAxe lvld R n00b!" and whatever.

EDIT: I'd also like to add that just because someone has a job at Lv75 doesn't mean they're an expert and good at the game. Any retard can reach Lv75. FFXI is a very mindless game. Monkey presses macro; repeat. You can reach Lv75 without ever doing a skillchain. There's always a party willing to pick up somebody, regardless of gear/knowledge/etc. All reaching Lv75 shows is that you've played a lot, and/or you're very persistant. Ignorance really showed with that "Lv75" DRK thinking the OP should use a scythe when obviously GAxe was more effective in that situation, as explained. It's very important for everyone to know "why" something is effective/common, rather than just mindlessly excepting what they're told by higher level players who don't want to "waste their time with noobs" or whatever.
