    Ba-zing...

    Anyway, ENGs count the exp they have left, not the exp they currently have.
    If you just write '@1600', meaning 1600/6100, it might confuse some people.
    And writing 4500 tnl might confuse JPs. I doubt all of them know what tnl means (to next level.)
    Rude, but not wrong. ;x

          Good to know.
          It always seemed like the JPs had no idea what I ment (I obviously had no idea what they were saying) and they used @ they way I suggested.

            Usually anyone who has a comment and which consists of more then "EXP @ xxxx"
            is worth inviting...'cause they usually are japanese

            My comment line:
            @xxxx dochidemo ii yo
            amerikajin dewa nai w yorosiku m(_ _)m
            tada romanji ha chotto wakaru deskedo ;;

            And as for the Rank thing...well...
            For us (us=good player who started with the US release) there's a problem concerning that...you need to find PTs for the Mission M3-2+
            While there usually are some low rank japanese players arround, they aren't enough meaning you HAVE to ask your
            averange "i rather not renkei it wastes time" player.

            Which results in a major "GOD! I hate to do this mission stuff!" + not doing it anymore.

            Further it really is a pain to find out which mission people have/want to do
            as the lack of communication between the not japanese players is a major PAIN.

            So please don't judge just because of the rank.

            Rank 3 Mission M3-2 *frustrated*

            oh and btw.
            How should i say "Plenty of time" in japanese ? "Jikan ha ippai" ?

            And~~~ "nihongo umaine" I mean i get the basic out of this...but does it really mean "japanese is interesting/good ect" or "japanese is complicated/hard" ?

              How should i say "Plenty of time" in japanese ? "Jikan ha ippai" ?
              "Jikan ha ippai" would work, but it would be much more explicit as to what you mean if it was "Jikan ha ippai arimasu" basically changing from "lots of time" to "I have lots of time"
              And~~~ "nihongo umaine" I mean i get the basic out of this...but does it really mean "japanese is interesting/good ect" or "japanese is complicated/hard" ?
              if someone says "Nihongo umaine" to you, they're complementing you on your Japanese skills, saying that you're quite good at it

              as for my comment line, its usually something like:
              aka45@3500,sapoha kuro desu.
              dhisuperu, rifureshu, ruteishi [circular mark]
              reberuagePTnisasottekudasai

              which means:
              Rdm45@3500, Subjob is Blm.
              Dispell, Refresh, Rute Gate Crystal OK
              Please invite me to a level up PT

              on the other hand, Rdm past level 41 doesn't need to worry about PT invites very much, I need to keep myself /anon to keep the invites away

              I find it surprising that even putting "PTkumemasen" (I cannot PT) in my search comments won't keep people from inviting me, Japanese players of course, and they say something like "I know you said you can't PT, but would you like to PT with us?" :sweat:

                I've started putting a comment up when I'm looking for an xp party. After using it a bit, is it me or is the space given not very well designed for use with English language comments? Without Japanese character input and even using the auto-translate phrases the space doesn't seem to work out so well. :/

                So it turns out something like this:

                @2800 to 31
                GC: D/H/M; Kahzam: y; DEX+15
                |Please invite me|

                The "Please..." being from the auto-translate phrase list.

                  Sorry to resurrect an old post, but...

                  I happen to understand that @ = TNL, because I read this forum. I also understand that this is the preferred JP way of stating your experience needed.

                  However, in English, it makes no sense.

                  @ 2600 reads as "at 2600," not "need 2600." Unless you add "TNL" or something to the end, any English-speaking person should logically assume you are "at 2600" exp, which is basically meaningless info.

                  I have actually come across this problem in game, where people put their current exp as @exp, and I have to try to guess how much exp they need to level. And frankly, I can't blame them for being confused. The term itself is misleading (more accurately, it's contradictory).

                    My search comment lately has been something like this...

                    @4000 to Lv29, MND+13
                    |Kazham| |Pass|, GC:D,H,M
                    Heal 82 Enfeeb 78 Enhance 62
                    I seem to have no problems getting invites with it, to either NA parties or JP parties.

                    I do agree with the earlier poster who commented that it's hard to fit a decent comment in with English characters, though...

                    Of course, I'm sure once I get level 30, complete my quest, and change to paladin, that I'll have to think up a new comment structure.
