Hello! I am a lvl 70 whm now and have completed my first gobbiebag quest awhile ago when I had level 2 fame in Jeuno. I still have level 2 fame in jeuno and would like to know if anyone knows what the best and quickest way to raise my fame would be? I am at a point where 35 inv. slots isnt cutting it. I find myself in a bind all the time. Please assist. Thank you so much! I beat maat today! Woot! owned him with the repose method! yay!

Re: Help please! Gobbiebag+fame=No good!
I've never worried specifically about Jeuno fame. I got hero fame in Jeuno by doing mostly Bastok quests, plus some San d'Oria and Windurst ones, and then just spamming Only the Best with millioncorn or La Theine cabbage, whichever was more easily available at the time, until I had hero fame in both Bastok and San d'Oria.Ellipses on Fenrir
There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.

Re: Help please! Gobbiebag+fame=No good!
Jeuno fame depends a lot on the fame in the other three main cities. Check them and find out which ones you are low in. Then do one of the Selbina quests (the millioncorn one will also get your sandy fame up to at least 4 when you spam it). When I shuttled a load of 35 or so stacks of millioncorn (I think I already had GB#2 or 3 at that time), my medium Jeuno fame jumped way up. As a WHM70 you should have all the teleports and won't have any problem going weaponless and armorless to maximize your millioncorn carrying capacity.
Just keep in mind that it took me half an hour to trade in all my millioncorn. Since it's not a single item trade, it can't be macroed either. But at least you get some gil back so it's pretty cheap to do.Elwynn @ Fairy Elwynbelwyn @ Sylph | PS2 PC

Re: Help please! Gobbiebag+fame=No good!
Awesome! here is what I did. I bought 15 stacks of the boyahda moss. It cost me $118,515 gil. Traded each individually took approx. 25 mins with macro. Sold ea. for 600. Got back $108,000. Bottom line it cost me $10,515 and approx. 40 mins total to get my fame from 3 in Jeuno to 7 in Jeuno. Thank you!

Re: Help please! Gobbiebag+fame=No good!
I was going to suggest Boyahda moss- though I farm mine rather than buying- i need to save my gill so I can pay for those stupid GB upgrades.Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Re: Help please! Gobbiebag+fame=No good!
I did Millioncorn for the cheaper way cuz I couldn't farm or afford tons of Boyahda Moss... Can't macro the trade but I found a "groove" kinda like crafting
...but my questing has actually been the thing that got me more fame for Gobbie-Bags. I only spammed for fame on my first bag and then just found out randomly passing thru Jeuno that I had enough fame thru missions and quests I'd done to get upgrades.FFxiv ~ (PS3 Beta) 24THM, 16LNC, 16CNJ, 15MRD/GLD/ARC/PUG

Re: Help please! Gobbiebag+fame=No good!
Saw this thread and didn't want to make another.. I have all the items for the gobbie bag quest but he says I don't deserve one yet I'm guessing my fame isnt high enough. How would you check your fame? Someone told me 3 stacks of la theine cabbage should do the trick but apparently it didn't.. unless theres some other requirement I'm missingFound Online Made by me

Re: Help please! Gobbiebag+fame=No good!
There is a guy across the street thats standing by a table that will check your fame. He will say something like... "Name" blah blah blah, then you go to the wiki, and check what he said with the fame, from what he said, will depend on your fame.
But, you should just spam the "Only the best" quest. VERY cheap, and can be done very quick. Just buy a ton of million corn (From NPC), and trade it to the NPC thats standing next to the sheep in selbina (3 per trade if I remember correctly. I'll check).

Re: Help please! Gobbiebag+fame=No good!
You need to do it many times. Hence why I said spam. you need 96 Trades to get 4 fame I think for the first nations

Re: Help please! Gobbiebag+fame=No good!
Was that your nation fame, or was the Jeunoian fame? Also. I couldn't do it until I was fame 3 for some reason.
