If your WHM has Reraise and 150MP when weakened, go for it. The XP won't be awesome, but that didn't matter to me because guerilla healing is much more fun than being a back-line cure-bot. Out of MP? Just run off to heal, someone else will take over. XP for healing and raises isn't just awesome, it's getting XP for doing your job! (what a concept!)
Note that +MP is more important to WHM in campaign than +MND because you're mostly going to be throwing cure bombs, and the few extra points over the soft cap aren't as important as having just enough extra MP to throw another Cure III. Also Conserve MP at WHM40/BLM20 is nice.
The main thing to keep in mind is how hate works. If you cure someone fighting a mob, you get on the mob's hate list. If the person you cured KOs, and everyone else the mob is fighting KOs, the mob will come hunting for you with a special-delivery smackdown. So avoid healing people fighting NMs, or unsuccessfully soloing a campaign mob. Also, don't heal someone being chased by campaign mobs, just stay out of aggro range, wait for the KO, and cast Raise.
Don't forget to cap your magic skills every time you gain a level. The easiest way is with Besieged, but there are (mostly dangerous) ways to skill up everything but Enhancing by going tagless.
And if the battle lasts for more than half an hour or so, go to the CA for new tags. There are all sorts of caps on XP, and this resets them.
