To give some background about what I'm asking and why, I am in a RPLS which incorporates a number of FFXI storyline elements into our own storyline. At the moment, I'm facing a bit of difficulty with moving forward in one portion of our storyline...
At the current status of our storyline, It's been over three years since the events of the Windurst Mission storyline and Rise of the Zilart, these having been completed by Sherinmir, a famous adventurer and former companion of our main characters who is currently missing. More recently, the Shadow Lord has returned and fallen again (San d'Oria and Bastok Rank 1-5 Missions). The San d'Oria Missions for Rank 6+ have not yet occured (and are being held up in part by my San d'Orian character still not being high enough level to complete Rank 5 missions).
The THF AF quests have also been completed by Kumei, and it's pretty obvious at this point that Vauderame is headed to the ruins of Tavnazia.
We are currently in the process of going through Chains of Promathia, however certain missions are being 'replaced' by a different series of events due to the actual mission events being performed by Sherinmir and his friends in the past. In particular, Mission 2-3 (Minotaur) needs to be replaced, and Kamiel's idea was for us to look into Vauderame's activities and possibly prevent him from stealing from Tavnazia, as a way to get into people's good graces there.
However, my understanding from things that I have read is that Vauderame figures somewhat significantly into the San d'Oria rank 6+ mission storyline, and as we are going to be incorporating that in the future, I'd like to make sure that what we do next is consistent with that to the extent possible.
The History of Vanadiel section on the Sandy Mission storyline does not name Vauderame, but screenshots suggest that he is accompanying Rochefogne in key scenes. Can anyone who has done the Sandy missions offer some more insight on this character's role?
