Does any body know the details of how to get the map of Giddeus? I am pretty sure this isn't a map you can just buy. If it is a quest please try to include what needs to be done. Any help is much appreciated.

What makes you "pretty sure" you can't just buy it?

Well thanks for the answer. I was pretty sure because I've been to a lot of map vendors and never found it. Geez sorry for the question. I don't know what is with people who play this game. Something wrong with asking for help? Okay yeah I could go out and look but I'd much rather ask for help. It's a lot easier. And I don't think there is any thing wrong with that. What's with the sigh man?

With maps, not all of them are named after the zone. Sometimes, they come in bunches, and are named after the region. For instance, the map for Xarcabard is part of a group called "Map of the Northlands Area". So just because you don't see a zone named by a map seller, don't automatically assume it's not sold.

Succeeding in FFXI takes a lot of research. Especially with missions and BCs, there isn't always a simple answer that someone can give you. The FFXI Wiki is one of the best resources for the game out there. I would suggest asking questions to confirm or expand on the information you find there.
