  • CoP Snoll fight question

    Greetings,

My static and I will be doing the above mission this wed, here is what we are bringing job wise:

    Pld
    Mnk x2
    Drk
    Rdm
    Whm

We'll have all the proper meds, food etc, but my question is about the Salts. For those who have done this, with a setup like we have, how many salts would you reccomend. Ive skimmed other forums and some say 1 salt should be enough (our whm will be using 1 salt for sure) Is it worth the extra time to farm a few more cluster cores for a 2nd salt that someone else can use? Or will our firepower be enough with just 1 "time extension"? I realize that I havent posted gear or nnot, but assume its more than satisficatory.

I'd take 1-2. We used one on our run but we had a smn and blm. Needed an extra 5s or so for the second AF which killed it. Mnk 2hour does loads but I died as I pulled too much hate and it was hitting hard by the end. Im not sure Drk really has any practicality in this fight as their Dmg output isnt going to be anywhere close to a mnk, rng or wars. So take 2 at least just to be sure of the win.

I'd say to get another salt to be safe. It looks like you guys are covered on the DD, (hundred fists, fast cast ) but I see you don't have any blms. Wouldn't hurt to have an extra.

Yes indeed, 2 salts to be sure, 1st used by the WHM at the beginning and the 2nd used by the PLD when he/she 2 hrs.

It is completely worth it for every member of your party to bring a salt, especially since the setup you're using isn't exactly built for the optimum speed needed.
I'd also consider doing the Opo-Opo Necklace+Sleeping Potion combo.

            I would say 4 if not 6

I've had manaburn-ish setups that used 3 and cut it close

just be sure you don't overlap them

also, don't underestimate the snoll's dot potential. people always worry about the salts and the snoll's explodeyness without remembering he can flat out shred through you if he wants to

I'd go with at least three. My group only needed one but we went rdm rdm rdm blm blm mnk. When we went with a tank and whm in our setup we used 4 salts and still couldn't make it in time.

Erring on the side of caution and overpreparing is never a bad idea with these things. Bring as many salts as you can stand to farm or buy.

aye! i'd say 3 to be safe in most cases.
i did this fight like 6 times cuz we just couldnt beat it... for some reason or another things went sour.

just know how to time ur salts.... if u mess up, theres a lot of stuff going on and its easily to forget to use ur salt or w/e.

                good luck.

2 salts would be enough with that setup
