    Samurai Quest:

At first, kill Dormo(?) and get a 'Thousand-year Moss' (?u?ç”N‘Û?v) at the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah.

You can get the offer of the quest from an NPC in front of Gilgamesh's room in Norg.
To visit Norg, you can take the route :
    ƒKƒUƒ€(Kazham)?„ƒ†ƒ^ƒ“ƒK(Yuhtanga)?„ŠCŽÖ‚ÌŠâŒA(Sea Serpent Grotto)?„ƒm?[ƒO(Norg).
Or you may go to Norg on foot by this route:
    ƒuƒuƒŠƒ€(Buburimu)?¨ƒIƒ“ƒ]ƒ](Onzozo)?¨ƒJƒUƒ€?i’á’nƒGƒ‹ƒVƒ‚?j(Kazahm <Lower Elsimo>)?¨ƒm?[ƒO(Norg)

From Sea Serpent Grotto, just go straight on the right wall, and find a hidden door.
If you trade an NPC ( (an old man and moss mania) in in front of Gilgamesh's room in Norg, you will get the offer of the quest. You're asked to get two materials to make a katana.

After receiving the offer of the quest, you will have to get two items from two other NPCs. The first one is a Galka in the furthest part in Korrolaka Tunnel. Trade him a letter (?u‘Ûƒ}ƒjƒA‚̈˗Š?‘?v) from the old man, and you'll get an important item, Magic Hummer (?u‚¾‚¢‚¶‚È‚à‚Ì?Fƒ}ƒWƒbƒNƒnƒ“ƒ}?[?v) And then, go to Norg and talk to Gilgamesh. He'll give you 'Rusty Katana'.

The first material is dropped by Bomb, which appears when you trade something (Sorry, this part is missing. It can be the katana you've got though.) at ??? at the cave in the west of Konshtat. You can trade evey 10 minutes, and dropped item is one (Unconfirmed) each battle.
(Maintenance work on April 18 will change the interval time from 10 minutes to 3 minutes.)

Then you'll go to the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah. There you'll locate a great tree in the far east of the map. There's ??/ there. If you trade an ax (?u‚Ü‚³‚©‚è?v) there, Sapling NM appears. After killing it, investigate ???. And then if you trade the bourgeon there, you'll get a branch of the thousand-year-old tree (?u?ç”N‚̖؂̎}?v). All your party members can get the item here.

If you go back to Norg and trade the items to the NPC, you're told to wait for 3 days of Vana D'iel time. After waiting for 3 days, talk to this NPC again, and you'll get the Samurai Job.

eek... sounds so hard.... compare to ninja ...
There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot,
but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence
transform a yellow spot into the sun.

good lord it really does sound sorda tough heh - considering i will only be level 30 by then probably very tough.

Infact, i was wondering if anyone else interested in becoming a Samurai would want to PT with me to get the job. And also the level requirement is indeed level 30 correct?

So if u want to PT to earn Samurai together let me know please - either post it / pm me / or contact me on aim.

        -thanks much-

EDIT: like if any of u level 60 goons don't mind me tagging along i would more than greatly appreciate it (wink wink) as becoming a Samurai is the one thing i have looked forward to most, long before it was even confirmed i wanted the job badly heh.
(btw by the term "goons" i mean i envy u and wish i were u lol)

          Revision 1 (still unconfirmed)

At first, YOU DON'T HAVE TO get a 'Thousand-year Moss' (?u?ç”N‘Û?v) at the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah.

You can get the offer of the quest from an NPC in front of Gilgamesh's room in Norg.
To visit Norg, you can take the route :
          ƒKƒUƒ€(Kazham)?„ƒ†ƒ^ƒ“ƒK(Yuhtanga)?„ŠCŽÖ‚ÌŠâŒA(Sea Serpent Grotto)?„ƒm?[ƒO(Norg).
Or you may go to Norg on foot by this route:
          ƒuƒuƒŠƒ€(Buburimu)?¨ƒIƒ“ƒ]ƒ](Onzozo)?¨ƒJƒUƒ€?i’á’nƒGƒ‹ƒVƒ‚?j(Kazahm <Lower Elsimo> )?¨ƒm?[ƒO(Norg)

From Sea Serpent Grotto, just go straight on the right wall, and find a hidden door.
If you you just talk to Jaucribaix in front of Gilgamesh's room in Norg, you will get the offer of the quest. You're asked to get two materials to make a katana.

After receiving the offer of the quest, you will have to get two items from two other NPCs. Talk to Ranemaud and Aeka and get 'Eastern Old Iron' (?u“Œ•û‚̌ÓS?v) and a 'Bourgeon' (–Ø‚Ì?V‰è?v).

The first material is dropped by Bomb, which appears when you trade the Eastern Old Iron at ??? at the cave in the west of Konshtat. You can trade evey 3 minutes, and dropped item is one each battle.

Then you'll go to the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah. There you'll locate a great tree in the far east of the map. There's ??? there. If you trade an ax (?u‚Ü‚³‚©‚è?v) there, Sapling NM appears. If you go back to Norg and trade the items to the NPC, you're told to wait for 3 days of Vana D'iel time. After waiting for 3 days, talk to this NPC again, and you'll get the Samurai Job.

Need help finding the way from Kazham to Norg
Can someone give detailed instructions from Kazham>Sea Grotto>Norg?
Also detailed directions to Zi'tah would be much appreciated as well as an estimate of what lvl is needed to beat the Bomb and Sapling NM (solo vs PT)

Kazham >> Sea Serpent Grotto: just head south west from kazham. the spot you are trying to get to is E-11. you should first try to get to the outpost which is located at G-11 and find a hole to drop down to go to the grotto. be careful, i was still getting aggro'ed at lvl50. if you have a whm/rdm with invis/sneak or if you have silent oil/prism powder, it will be much easier.

Grotto >> Norg: very easy. just follow the right side wall until H-6. you will see an unmarked door. open it and head north to norg. again, i was getting aggro (by gast) at lvl 50 but the enemies are easy to avoid and norg is not too far away so you can run if you train too many enemies

Zi'tah: it is located in Meriphataud Mountains at the north east corner (L-4). you can get to Meriph from Port Jueno >> Sauromague >> Meriph. once you arrive in Zi'tah, head east to around L-9, L-10. at lvl 50 i did not get aggro'ed at all on the way there. on the way back i think i took a wrong turn and ran into the harder gobs making a train the nm in zi'tah attacks very fast. i am not sure if i could've killed it by myself at lvl50 (lvl 30 rdm was with me) so maybe it would be wise to have someone accompany you.

Bomb NM in Konschtat: pretty easy kill at lvl50. i think for both NM's, full party of at least 35 is safe enough to kill.

yes i am lvl50 pld^^ i think you can kill both if your sub is up to date but maybe you should bring a melee friend (around lvl45+) if you are having doubts.
