The quests are soloable but its so much easier to just take a large crew with you.

I found it rather exciting to solo. Just note that you're not getting the Yagudo Crest solo unless someone is in the killing yags or you have some sort of "Flee" device. JA, boots.

There's just not enough time to hit the switch, invis back up and make it to the door.

I agree with Haggai. While it sounds very simple (just go hit some crests in 3 zones), it is more interesting if you duo it or solo it. Remember, you'll need someone to do that mini quest in Davoi so you can get to the crest there.

Yeah, duoing is pretty cool, too. After I did mine, I helped someone else with their trip. It was a fun little time to chat and whatever.

I did the mini quest in Davoi for the orb. It's pretty simple, just requires running around. Don't forget that you get cursed on the last pond. Go ahead and bring holy water to uncurse, or Cursna if you have access to that spell. Don't worry about being low HP, just find a safe spot to heal up to full. It's not like there are any undead in Davoi.

I did mine at BLM56/WHM28, so I didn't have Cursna, and I didn't bring holy water. I just let it wear. There's no problem with that either, as long as you keep invisible when needs be.

I do suggest you heal to full before attempting to open the door, in case you get aggro and get hit before making it to zone.
