Re: Impossible Chocobo Quest Problem. Please Help!
Ok, to save some of you stopwatchers a little time, I'll post some conclusions from my timed runs today:
1. The fastest way through Pashhow Marshlands is by taking the shortcut from G-9 to H-8 on the edge of the map. It's hard to see while you do it, but it saves almost a full minute off the next fastest route, the paths N of the Beadeaux entrance. 3:57 from where zone first opens up at E-10/11 to where it becomes a narrow path again at K-4/5, (and that's with running into a few mounds of dirt on the way).
2. The fastest way through Rolanberry Fields IS NOT the shortcut through Brutus's Fields and the Silk Caterpillar spawn. This is almost 30 seconds slower than just following the road and cutting overland at H-8 and H-9 to miss that extra curve there. 3:31 from first tree where zone opens up at bottom to entrance portcullis on the Jeuno path.
I'm suspecting I'll have to time out Konschtat Highlands and Sauromogue Champaign later today. I've been wrong twice so far, hopefully I'm wrong on these areas and can get my time savings up to 5 mins or so.
