So, this post is basicly to try and gather any information i can on this assault mission (Imperial Agent Rescue: Mamool Ja Training Ground). Basicly i'm going to put down what i found worked and what didn't and hopefully get back some informative reply's.
First a lil background ^^. Me and 4/5 others have been attempting this with very little success. When we finally did find the NPC we didn't reach the point in time to warp out . So yeh kind of annoyed.
But we did test some theories about how to know down the gates, and heres what we found.
Firstly, physically dodging the attacks makes absolutely no difference, so no more trying to run out the way. It simply doesn't work ^^.
Secondly, Utsusemi does not prevent attacks from hitting the gate, so Ninja's make a fine tank ^^.
[Some useful tips]
Low damage weapons, use them. You want to give the mob as much TP as possible so it uses more attacks, but not kill it.
Firespit can take 3-4 hits to knock down a gate, the Throw stave and Throw axe abilities can take them down in one. So try and use the Mamool Ja mages or beastmasters if possible.
Move around, If a TP attack doesn't hit the gate, adjust your position. I found it best to stand slightly either side of the middle of the gate.

Yes its a terrible diagram >_> but a picture, afterall is worth a thousand words and it is impossible to leave blank spaces. Imagine thats the gate, and the horizontal lines are the lock bar. Beneath it the gate has more vertical bars. Basicly i found standing inbetween one of those and the center of the gate worked best. (the ^ marks the center and the . where i found best to stand)
