Doing the CN map quest "Explorers footsteps".
Done them all except Batallia Downs, Sauromuge Champaign, La Theine.
I know you can skip Sauromuge, and Batallia.
    La Theine you cannot.
How do you actually get to the one in La Theine?
I've tried everything, Much thanks on any help..................

see the Ordelle's Caves (2)? You go down the same cliff and then turn east. There will be a tunnel that leads to the monument.

Climb down the crack at F-6 in La Theine and follow the path to Ordelle's Caves. Once in Ordelle, hang a right and go down the wide twisty path. After the tunnel narrows down, you'll come to a fork in a round room that should have some Fly Agaric in it. Head down the east tunnel and you'll resurface in La Theine. Head along the bottom of the gorges to get to the monument in J-7.

I've been told there's a way to get down the cliff on the monument side without going through Ordelle, but this is what I had to do.

No, that's in the opposite direction. But I did end up at the cermet headstone while I was trying to find the monument on my own the first time

          www.ffxi-atlas.com wasn't around back then.
